me as being Dutch as well, i have total different experience with the situation in NL! it's not perfect but better than before. here in Tland they should control it better, because they didn't control it at all... but making all dispensaries little clinics with a doctor inside sound ridiculous to me... totally out of touch! it's asking for trouble. illegality seems back on it's way again...

no certainly not! first he must stay in police-cell for process everything, after to immigration detention centre and there's a big cage whith everyone inside! my friend had to stay there a few days, that was nót sanuk! there's people inside for months/years! hardcore stuff! my friend learned there an important lesson... but this Russian guy eventually will be deported back to Russia: with a red alert Interpol how could he stay in Phuket that long, never mind overstay...?

why was Samui Airport used for militairy plane in the first place? i used to live on Samui, and i know that this is a private airport owned by Bangkok Airways. what were they doing there? and the 54 passengers? was it maybe a weekend trip for some 'chosen' officials, paid by taxpayers? and brakefailure? in my naivity i always thought before lift off, every pilot (civil or militairy) must do a loooong list of checks before even start...

many years ago for tours we had a Thai guide and a T/L managing the usual group of 25 farangs travelling thru the Kingdom! Thai guide usually spoke to the group outside and me as T/L inside the bus: no problem and at the end we shared what we had made... the usual 'baksheesh' here & there the Thai guide arranged. i see these 'guides' operate alone, that's a lot different and more greedy! must be ready to share!

and Thai authorities failed to check how these foreign companies work here...
