  1. Yingluck must be shitting bricks, she will face exactly the same premeditated murder charges in a personal capacity for her authorizing and ordering snipers to execute innocent students hiding at Ram Uni last week. Talk about digging a deeper hole for herself.

Really? Maybe you should read Nick's report before you make spurious accusations: http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/newmandala/2013/12/10/ramkhamhaeng-a-view-from-inside-the-stadium/ If Yingluck is charged for this, surely Suthep should be charged for ordering his 'thugs' to attack the red shirts? Both charges equally (in)valid.

Not exactly an unbiased reporter you mentioned there . . .

Isn't Nick, the guy the protest leader single out (by pointing from the stage), and ask the protesters to kick the shit out of him (not these exact words, but similar meaning) for working in favour of the red shirt aka Thaksin?

Yes, that's the one. Whenever there are violent Reds, Nick is also there reporting on it. His views are always that the Reds were innocent and that anybody else is to blame for their violence.

  2. ^^ seriously Richard.........from a man who claims to own a pretty nice Italian sports bike - I can not call your comments objective.

I can see a connection between Lifan and my motorcycle, can you not see it....?

I think that it was a desperate attempt from MV to increase their sales (Including Chinese market) in times when they were losing a lot of money.

Do you know if this partnership was successful?

  3. Were are all of the RED coats today??

Waiting for their daily briefing sheet to arrive rolleyes.gif, although we do have a normal spattering of the normal newbie low post count folks in ardent support of the reds. Spot a new name and it always is a new red supporter. Funny that!

Interesting observation. Many new names with low posts counts and often aggressive posts. I have been thinking about this too lately. Maybe there should be some kind of rule that you need to have a 1000 posts or so before you can comment on certain topics.

  4. What do you think red supporters? Has Yingluck's government deliberate loss of more than 10 billion US dollars on rice scheme been justified? Bear in mind, they wasted 10 billion USD, not baht, just to stay popular in rural Thailand. How can anyone justifie that? It endangers the whole country's financial stability and the system.

An absolute idiot could run the country that way and win the election. Who is going to make up for more than 10 billion USD lost? By the way, rumour has it that there are 200 billion baht unaccounted for.

The rice scheme was designed to help poor farmers who were being forced to sell their land to the rich and become tenants because they couldn't afford to keep going. The ruling elite rubbed their hands in glee as they bought up even more ethnic Thai owned land. I'm not saying the scheme is not corrupt. I'm not saying it is the most efficient way of taking money from the rich to give to the poor. I'm not saying that some of those administering the scheme don't have their fingers in the till. but it is a scheme. and no government has ever come up with a way to help the rural poor before. If Suthep has a better scheme to help the poor I'd love to hear it. But of course he hasn't. His patrons are very keen to abolish the scheme so that they can get their hands on more of the peasants land.

You talk like Yingluck. It's all for the poor therefor don't ask me where the 600,000,000,000 THB went. I bit nasty IMO. Using the poor farmers as a reason to fill your own pockets. But of course Yingluck is a real Thaksin so what else could one expect. Luckily the plundering of the state coffers is coming to an end.

It's irrelevant what else you own. You are still the owner of a Lifan.......cheesy.gif And if you sell it, you are still the guy that used to own a Lifan!......cheesy.gif

  6. I will refer back to this post when parents of "innocent" and "unarmed" dead students come crying that their kids died.

And when Yingluck is charged with murder? As AW and ST have allready been!

How about Abhisit and Suthep charged with leading protesters to their deaths? Do you remember the street battles in Ramkamhaeng a week ago, on Saturday night? So many "innocent" and "unarmed" students killed at 2am. Photos from journalists show students running around with sharpened sticks, guns and knives.

Who leading who to their death?? Please stop this non-sense. I thought that hundreds of buses full with red shirts were brought in from all over Thailand to confront the peaceful anti-government protestors who were on the streets for weeks without any violence.

And then, Saturday night Nov 31 Arrisman started arousing the Red crowd by telling them he would take them to deal with Suthep and the anti-government protestors (when the interior Minister in charge of the Thai Police force was holding his hand on stage).

When the fights broke out, police was nowhere near the stadium and University for 17 hours.

  7. No, you get a kiss and bonus points for choosing the right thread for your general complains about chinese quality emot-kiss.gif.pagespeed.ce.EAwNQWAQZf.gi

  8. Views from Government complex (1 of 3 protest sites) last night. This is something the government doesn't want you to see and therefore was not broadcasted at any free (government controlled) TV channel.

Ooft! - I think that shows where the support really lies when all those who have to keep going to work are able to vote with their feet.. a big kick in the teeth for Mr T. That is an immense crowd.

According to Jatuporn, 20,000 max! According to people with a human brain, more than 200,000.

Jatuporn said that? It's funny because I just read how early in 2010 when the red rally was estimated at 150,000, most of the TV channels claimed there were only 25,000 present. Guess that's always the way it goes... this is a lot like 2010 in reverse in some respects. Government now is saying what the Democrats said back then, and the same goes for the current protesters wrt the red shirts. Guess the script for this stuff is pretty much already written.

To be fair, the site the Reds were using couldn't accommodate that many people. I have never seen images like this one from last night.

  9. Quality of Chinese made bikes is crap. I wouldn't buy one for sure. And why would you buy a Chinese made bike if you can buy a Japanese made bike.

Unless your father is McGyver and your mother is uuuhhh Crocodile Dundee and you like technical adventures.

aha, Another Chinese bike hater comes out of the woodwork. Tell me o wise one, how do you know that chinese bikes are crap. Did you own one that let you down or are you just regurgutating crap you read on the net probably posted by other chinese bike haters .

Some Chinese made bikes may be crap but certainly not all. as has been proved in some of the threads on this forum

Was living in China for many years (still visit China often) and owned at least 7-8 crappy Chinese made bikes (because there was nothing else available). In general, the Chinese like things to be cheap, therefor the law quality.

like i said, not all ...

    yeah whatever dude!

  11. It's too vague to be credible at this point.

Yep, but it does pass the plausible test.

For you anyway..........Me, not so gullible. Remember the tale of the 10/11 red shirts ( "allegedly" trained as political assassins in a training camp (read Holiday Centre) at Chiang Mai who'd "allegedly" been previously training in Cambodia, who were "allegedly" in police hands and then disappeared completely from view, never to be heard of again - all stirred up by abhisits government - not a shred of truth in it.

If they were in the Red Police's hands and nothing has been heard of them, then AV must be right.

  12. Somebody must be lying.......

Thailand, once the world’s biggest rice exporter, will see a 17 percent jump in stockpiles to a record next year as it pursues a policy of buying from farmers at above market rates, said the Food & Agriculture Organization.

The government stepped up efforts since July to dispose of inventories even at a loss to free storage space and raise funds, the United Nations agency said in its quarterly report on the global market. The reserves, described as “huge,” will still climb to 20.4 million metric tons next year even as exports rebound 26 percent to 8.5 million tons, said the FAO.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s administration, which fended off violent demonstrations across Bangkok this week by protesters seeking her removal, started its rice-buying program in 2011. The $21 billion policy, designed to boost rural incomes, spurred the buildup of record stockpiles as output rose and exports fell. The International Monetary Fund said last month the program should be replaced, warning that left unchanged it would hurt confidence in public finances.
