She didn't but there are many places in Bangkok that are doing even Ferrari's now from what I hear.Did she mention where she got it wrapped. I've been thinking about a wrap on one of my bikes for a while but not sure of a place that does a good job on bikes. Any ideas?
PS I'd have to agree with LL, a cute girl on a pink sportsbike and knee length boots is ok with me. Hope Eek doesn't object
So I think if you check some of the high end shops they know.
I think Eek might be surprised after what she said about the girl models at bike shows not being riders.
Because I think this model owns that pink Ninja

Missed thatDealing with a kawasaki dealership
For some reason I thought it was a finance guy or used sales type
That is what I get for not reading
-
i really want to check her mania. Where is she staying in Bangkok?
is it it her doing all these mods or his boyfriend or fun club?
if it is her doign all these, i really want to meet with her.
heheh Yeah they have a club " Snail Rider Thailand " on FB
I did see a pic of a bunch of guys cutting wrap so maybe her club
But it is hers & she rides as I have seen videos
-
Check the wrap job this girl in Bangkok did to her 2013 N250
Started life as a Black ninja. These wraps are coming out nice
& later you can peel them back to stock if you like.
But decals have to come off when wrapping
She also did a under seat twin exhaust

If it is a used bike....and by all accounts it seems to be.....
Personally I would never give 225k without the book.
Basically he has bought a bike with no book & is now relying on what you described
as a full of sh!t lying salesman
I mean I wish him luck & TIT
but
1- I would have done it like any used bike sale.
Meaning money changes hand when papers, book, plates change hands
It is used not new so that is how it is done period.
No excuses for not doing it this way now.
A new bike yes you wait for the plate & book as it does not exist yet.
2- They originally claimed a book with no name. We know & Sumet confirms it is not possible
as a book cannot be made without plate # & name of owner.
If in fact it does exist & has the finance company name is in it I would have at the very least had to see it.
Yes 225k is a good deal for a legal bike of that year & mileage
But if not 225k is way overpriced if for some reason it turns out to be a
inv only bike.
Hopefully I am completely wrong & your pal makes out all right.
I could not be as trusting while handling over 225k with no assurance other than
a inv & again what you described as a lying salesman.

Great start to the new season, Moto 2 race close dual between Redding and Espargaro with the latter just edging it.
MotoGP, what can i say... the Doctor is back!! and anyone who had any doubts that he may have lost his competitive edge just watch the re-run of the race. Came through off the grid from 7th to 3rd pretty quick but then a slip up dualling with Dovi's Ducati saw him slip back to 7th but worked his way through the field to take 2nd. Lorenzo rode a text book race from start to finish.
I've got high expectations for the MotoGP class this year, a lot of top competitors
Yes someone uploaded the last lap from Moto2 will attach video
Yes talent does not stray very far & Val is going to be good to watch this year.
As well as Marc who may have a great 1st year if he is able to stay consistent.
I have not watched in awhile & seeing Moto3 I was a little more than impressed
with how those single cylinders run. After the death of 2 stroke I did not think
this would be a good class at all. especially when they limited the engine to a 250
single cylinder but I have 2nd thoughts now.
I was so impressed I went & looked up some info on that KTM engine.
Some impressive numbers & technology going on there for sure.
Each exhaust "titanium" valve gets its own exhaust pipe! Interesting thinking on a single cylinder

Curious what diameter those fork legs are.
How does such an inexpensive bike get such a decent looking fork? ( don't know how it performs though)
Meanwhile Honda 250,500 Kawasaki 250,650 get stuck with chopsticks?
-
Well less than a week to go & we will see how the GP season starts
Well just for a crack my guess 1st. Dani, 2nd. Jorge, 3th. Val, 4th.Marc, 5th. Andrea, 6th. Cal.
You know with the exception of Dani you had a very good guess there
My connection was choppy so will retry the replay at 9:30 tonight.
Should have woke up earlier as the 5:30am replay seemed smooth
& I caught just the end. Will hopefully watch the whole gp class race tonight
Having been away from viewing for a few years I am impressed
at how well the Moto3 bikes go. From what I saw last night
When 2 strokes died I thought this class would be pretty sad.
But having had a look I was surprised at what the single cylinder 250
is doing. So much so I had a read up on the KTM engine. Interesting engine
with some interesting technology.
How about Marc? Could be an interesting year if he is consistent

All looks better than stock at the end. looked for a rearset at motorshow but found nothing for cbr500 except 24k! moriwaki rear set I am using a bikers rearset on my cbr250 and fod 20 k km, no vibrations and it is super tight. I will leave rearset purchase after songkran.
Yeah still new but I'm sure all the brand will do sets for the 500 Honda too
-
Yeah exactly mania. But their rear set is nice, love the cross cut and it has all kind of adjustements like lever reach and lenght etc. Besides, you can replace any part of it as it is modular so, if you tip your bike down, you can order the damaged parts only not the whole set.
You know those adjustments were the first thing to catch my eye.
Mainly because I wonder if those are too many small screws that could vibrate loose?
I guess once you find your throw you can loctite them
But it is a nice feature having that adjust ability as we all have different size feet
But I wish I saw more with spring loaded folding tips
RSV makes a nice set too 5000 baht
As does Mazirano 4500 baht
- 1
-
Clip on looks good too. Little space age though. Nothing for cbr500 for 3 months more:(
Yes Biker makes some nice things but I agree with you their clip-ons
are a little busy looking.
I Like the Mazirano clip-ons & they are inexpensive as a bonus 2300-2500 baht

For me the Ducati qualifying was at least a surprise if not a big one.
Yup
I was just watching a day late
Dov wow! the surprise there

I think these micro filters are great.
But, I also think what we are seeing in these pics is the increased filtering ability of the smaller pores.
Meaning I do not think it is all necessarily to be attributed to the smog.
I think we also see the dust that is normally in any home adding to the look of the filter.
again due to the smaller micro pores.
Simple test to see if this is true is to install some during non-burning season.

That abba stand is a nice piece for quite a few reasons.
1- I like that it breaks down into an easily packed or shipped unit
2- I like the simplicity yet the idea is sound & looks safe
3- The use of leverage to lift is a lot easier & your at a good balance holding point
rather than behind the bike
Funny but back in high school in weld shop we use to make something similar but
not adjustable. We made them exact to fit our dirt bikes
Also rather than a long straight handle we used a shorter one with a bend out in it.
After we positioned we would just step on the bend & that lifted the bike into position.
This allowed us to keep both hands on the bike balancing it.
Also the rest/contact point was bottom of frame rather than swingarm pivot.
But yes this Abba stand looks like a great/simple/usable stand

Hey thanks again I am watching practice right now & it is streaming beautifully !!Hi Mania,
If you have BB, try this link,
http://www.livesport-stream.com/index/british_eurosport_2_hd_live_streaming_free/0-31
Ive been watching on this for 9 months now, you have to get used to the adverts ect, but stream 2 is usually the best, also on the same site is Eurosport HD,

I see Qatar GMT+3 is 4 hours behind us here in Thailand GMT+7i thought it started at 3pm, but its 11pm....well thats sh*t
I know the race is run at night & have seen they start the
main at 22:00
Kind of hard to believe starts at 10 at night?
I mean I know the lights make it as day but
that must be weird for the racers? I guess they will acclimate their
body clocks.
Ok so 22:00 start = 2am here AFAIK

Ok so we need to run a cable from your house to my condo.I'm using a tor network that i set up a while back, I've lost all the set up
info and files
But it allows me to view any BBC broadcast usually within 30-60mins of a programme
being aired.
Where ya at?
heheh
Thanks though looks like I may be stuck with sloppy seconds based on someone uploading
later. Someone usually does
-
So please clue me in on this karlosI'll be catching up with it on the BBC I-Player. As it's too early in the morning for me.
It's going to be an interesting season for sure

Would be interesting to hear from Sumet on this one..
He could tell you if a green book is ever even made blank???
It was my impression a green book is not even made until a bike is sold & there
is a name to be put in it.
There would be way too much room for fraud I would think if blank green books
were floating about.
I am waiting for my green book & plate which I imagine is being printed now with my name in it
& I bought before Xmas
Which bring up another Q
Does it have a plate already? If so there had to be a name

But....the reason to charge you was a valid one not a tax/tea money etc.Paid my "tax" today. The police were pulling over nearly every motorbike - Thai and Farang a like and coming up with reasons to charge us. Mine was the left turn on a red light. Sigh. I suppose stay away from Narawat on Saturdays!
Roll the dice pay the price. Same anywhere when you break a law & your caught.
Except here it cost you like $12 instead of $50-$100...no increase in insurance premiums & no loss of right
to drive after you amass enough points against you for breaking driving laws.
I guess you could as you say "stay away" or learn the law/rule from it & not have
to pay it next time.

I agree that the 90 day report is silly at best & the fact thatThe fact that one can pay someone else to go to immigration, makes it pretty obvious that the 90 day report does not do what it is supposed to do and does not have have any real value for anyone other than the agencies making a profit from it. It is the reason that Immigration is packed to the rafters every single day - a huge drain on the system that accomplishes pretty much nothing.
someone can do it for you paid or not (because anyone can do it for you) is proof of that.
-
Oh I am so anxious for it to get under way

It is kind of like a cyber version of Thailand.what is a facebook?
Folks either love it for what it offers or blame every conceivable problem on it.
How it is run, what type of people inhabit it etc. etc. etc.

Where Can I Buy A High-Quality Swingarm Stand?
in Motorcycles in Thailand
Posted · Edited by mania
You know that abba stand is as basic a project as can be.
It is in many ways the same as the ones we use to build for our dirt bikes
Except the little feet would instead be the 2' long handle you pushed down with your foot.
When it hit the ground the bike was at that point tipped into place. The exact same principle as
this stand.
I know someone said they would not trust welders here in Thailand but this is a super easy
project. If one were worried the only stress points could be plated with a triangle plate
doubler for strength.
Could be a good project for someone to make some side $$$ here
