Has Elon Musk become an existential threat to humanity?
josephbloggs replied to RSD1's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Or he's a Nazi. Considering his upbringing and the absolute constant stream of lies he posts, I'm going for that. -

Good point. I was getting mixed up between clock tower and statue. -
Chinatown near the river has become very artsy with lots of galleries, street art and cool trendy bars and cafes. Goldie's gallery is there too: https://aurum.gallery/ However I wouldn't want to live around there at all. Ari is probably a good bet. Definitely artsy and trendy, art galleries, cafes, trendy little bars, but still central and on the skytrain line. https://www.neverendingfootsteps.com/ari-best-neighborhood-bangkok/ https://www.timeout.com/bangkok/things-to-do/ari

"Puff piece"? Did you read the article?? It details all of his violent past, all the details of his attacks on teachers and pupils, his obsession with violence. Yet Jonny screen grabs something from the bottom of the article which details his childhood, and you picked two sentences that are followed by stories of his neighbours telling how police were regular visitors and how he went about the killings. You can't be taken seriously anymore (not that you ever could). Post the entire article. Here, I can do it for you. Maybe other people actually read things: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqx949jzjlyo

Home page. Two stories about it right there- including a prominent picture - and a story right there critical of Starmer's judgement. All on the main home page, no scrolling required. But yeah, something something weight loss, something something BBC burying it, something something three pages down. Get over yourself, your imagination really is out of control. Going through life with that amount of paranoia and constant imagined grievance must be exhausting.

Banged up: Thai prison nightmare exposed by British tourist
josephbloggs replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If you overstay but make it to the airport unscathed you pay 500 baht per day. If you are arrested when you are on overstay it is much much worse - off to IDC for you. So you were lucky, if you'd been in an accident or anything whilst on overstay you would have been in major trouble. It just isn't worth the risk. -

Have you tried actually reading the article? Or do you just like looking at the pictures? "Police, alerted to his visa status, arrested him and dragged him to court, claiming he had overstayed by a few days."- 253 replies

It is Silom station that is next to the clock tower right at the entrance to the park. Lumpini station isn't very convenient for the park. -

Don't be ridiculous. Vernon Unsworth put his life at risk to help save those boys, for no payment, just because he felt it was the right thing to do. To say he wanted fame is absolutely disgusting, and also an insult to the memories of Saman Kunam and Beirut Pakbara who not only risked their lives but gave them. -

Bored of Bangkok... Any advice to an alternative place to live?
josephbloggs replied to kingofallasians's topic in Bangkok
Yawn. I go to Singapore often. There is nothing redeeming about it. Soulless, boring, characterless. Probably why you like it. It's a great city for people who can't handle Asia, who live in this part of the world but still pine for the west. And yes, it is stupidly expensive. -

Thank God. I hope Thailand never ever becomes anything like Singapore.
