Read my posts as I already mentioned it a couple of times I think. Treaty of Amity if you are American. BOI if you are not American but you have to apply and meet certain investment criteria. Not open for all industries but open for many. So there you go, two perfectly legal ways.

I could tear up my visa tomorrow. I still own those things.

Yes, things cost energy to make. Better do nothing then, just carry on burning coals and fossil fuels until they run out. Plenty of studies on the carbon footprint of EVs over their lifecycle, all of them supporting the fact that even if they got ALL their electricity from coal fired power stations they would still pollute less than an ICE vehicle. But you can look at it and wonder, knock yourself out.

Yawn. You do realise Thailand already has the world's largest floating solar farm (45 MW) and it has been running smoothly since 2020-1. It hasn't corroded (glass doesn't corrode, neither does the HDPE that the moorings are made from) . It is made from very high quality materials and is well maintained. Locals haven't stolen it. This story is a continuation of the long term plan to expand it to another 15 or so reservoirs. Seriously take your jaded nonsense and just go away. I can't stand these constant negative, anti Thai posts on almost every topic, it is boring. Watch this and maybe learn something.

Fair enough. Maybe your accountant ripped you off but I don't know much about closing a business. Anyway, many ways of owning a business 100% outright so your assertion was wrong.
-
Really?? Not sure where you are going with this. I told you two ways that you can own a business 100% here. Not every can qualify, but many people can. I have been involved in three 100% foreign owned businesses and I am not American. You said you can't own anything 100% as a foreigner. So you are wrong. I gave you many other examples of things you can own outright. So you are wrong, spreading bar stool nonsense, and then picking non existent holes in my replies. What are you trying to achieve exactly? Do you feel picked on in Thailand? What's wrong?

What have they taken away from you since you've been here?

A condo. A car. A motorcycle. A business - if you are American via the treat of amity, or via the BOI if not (and if your business qualifies). You can't own land. Everything else of mine is 100% owned by me.

Rubbish.

Yawn. So Suvarnabhumi can't get any praise because it was designed by a foreign company? Right. Weird how when people on here complain about it - the long walks, the bus gates (because international and domestic are designed to be non interchangeable), the cavernous spaces - they blame the Thais. Boring.

Early Check-In Coming to Suvarnabhumi Airport by February
josephbloggs replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Online. This is physical check in and getting rid of your bags 24 hours in advance. And online check in is handled by your airline, not the airport. -
I think the outside looks great - pretty unique, and it has some nice gardens and sculptures etc. Inside I agree is bland although again there are interesting artworks and sculptures if you haven't become jaded by seeing them a million times. Always see tourists taking photos with the Giant Ramayana statues in the check in building, also the Churning of the Milk thing after immigration always has a crowd. Haven't been to SAT-1 yet but does look cool from the pictures.

Early Check-In Coming to Suvarnabhumi Airport by February
josephbloggs replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Oh my God, why are people on here so stupid, so anti Thai, so negative that they come out with stuff like this? Do you really think they introduced it to make people go to the airport twice??? Changi introduced something similar and it is a good service for those who want or need it. Imagine you are flying late night. Your hotel kicks you out at noon. Lots of short term transit passengers stay near the airport. Go in the morning or the day before, check in, your bags are gone and safe, then you are free to roam the city and do whatever you like. Just come back in time for your flight. Oh, and airlines do not offer early check in with bags 48 hours before. They offer online check in 48 hours before. Generally the bag drop counters and regular check in desks open three hours before your flight. Thai Airways is the exception as their check in desks are manned 24/7 but even they limit how early you can check in as there is no process for automatically storing bags - until now. If you live here, if you don't need the service, turn up and check in for your flight 2-3 hours before like you normally do. This is a service for people who might find it useful, it is not compulsory. It is just an added convenience for some passengers. Again, do you really think people now have to make an extra trip?? I despair. -
Who's buying a new battery after seven years? Seven years would still be under warranty. And LFP batteries have been proven to last much much longer. Just more misinformed nonsense.

Simple, don't buy from a second hand tent - they are generally unscrupulous and untrustworthy. All the major brands sell certified second hand cars, so they have been inspected for QC, you get a warranty with them, you can trust what you are buying. Transparent pricing too. Toyota Sure Honda Certified Volvo Selekt BMW Premium You get the idea, you can search for other brands' certified used cars. Never trust a tent.
