That remains to be seen. Honestly I just find it ridiculous how many people on here are up in arms - immediately - with knee jerk reactions about EVERYTHING! Like every Tory budget for the last 14 years was innately fair or warmly welcomed by absolutely everyone and everyone benefitted, got richer, and enjoyed better services. We know that is not the case. Labour have vowed to increase the education budget by BILLIONS. To hire 6,500 new teachers, and increase teacher salaries. Increase spending on SEND. These are the biggest increases in years. I think it's great. That money can't be plucked from thin air. Most private schooling is for the rich. And - it turns out - for the army, who knew. If a stately home with a measly 100 pupils in Oxfordshire has to close because of it (debatable) then boo hoo. They can get absorbed in to the more highly funded state school system if their parents don't want to pay. 95% of kids do just fine there. Sorry, I have more concern for the millions of children who may now get a better quality of education exactly because of this budget. Don't you? You think it's possible to dream up money and give it to everyone? Or you think posh schools should get preference over state schools?

What about all the people paying taxes which go towards prisons they have never used? Or hospitals they have never visited? Or roads they have never used? You can't pick and choose which taxes you pay for what. If I don't use the M62 do I get a partial tax refund? No, but my taxes contribute towards its upkeep and rightly so. I never go to the local park to look at the flowers. Should I get a tax reduction as I don't go to the park to look at the flowers or feed the ducks? So what exactly if people are paying taxes to schools they don't use? That is a choice, just like my choices to avoid the M62 and not feed ducks, I should still pay taxes towards them regardless because taxes are for society.

Yeah, all one hundred of them. Sorry, one hundred pupils in a historic stately mansion, and 11-12 days after the budget is announced it has gone under. So it was managed exceedingly well before that and the closure is all the government's fault. Maybe try putting 100 pupils in a more reasonable space rather than a historic stately home with acres of grounds. Just a thought. It is hilarious all the articles coming out from the Mail and Telegraph just days after the budget. But yeah now the government will have to re-school this massive amount of people, how will the system cope?

Yeah, I find his channel as annoying as the shouty all caps anti Chinese EV propaganda ones. His is an annoying pro EV shouty all caps channel, although better informed. Still find him annoying though and don't watch his videos anymore.

Not that simple in the US as you need to still go through the electoral college system. They have to appoint electors (by mid December), then they have to vote, then the votes need to be counted which goes to early Jan. Only then has he officially "won". Inauguration Day used to be in March but the 1933 amendment moved it to 20th January. I do agree though that it is a stupidly long time between public vote and office transfer. In the UK (if no hung parliament) it is usually done within 24 or 48 hours.

Rubbish. So you're saying the cause of this crash was the weight of the Deepal. Righty ho. The Deepal S07 wieghs 200kg less than an ICE BMW X5. It weighs significantly less than a Toyota Fortuna. Yes, an EV might weigh a bit more than its equivalent ICE version (if there is one), but no different to millions of other types of ICEVs on the road. If you're going to trot out anti EV cliche at least try and make them up to date.

It is not a news report. It is light entertainment and it has some black actors in it. You guys really do get riled over nothing, it is quite hilarious. -

Got it. To all posters: Under no circumstances reply to anything in this thread no matter how helpful you are trying to be. ONLY reply with the contact details of a foreigner (not a Thai - no Thais!) that is in Chiang Mai and will perform whatever a "computer check up" is. Anything other than that is NOT WELCOME!- 31 replies

Weird. I have used Dr Macbook 2-3 times and they were superb. Very very knowledgeable. The first time they didn't even charge me but only charged the cost of picking my laptop up from home. The second time I had complex hardware problems and they explained everything, took another one apart to show me what and why that particular year of Macbook had this issue, and offered me various solutions. All in all very impressive service. I have dealt with the foreign guy once and dealt with Thais on the other occasions and they were equally knowledgable, so surprised you were disappointed. Are you sure it was Dr Macbook? It's never been on Asoke. It was at the end of Suk 33 but has since moved to Ploenchit. Anyway, off topic, can't help you in CM. -

BBC iPlayer working fine for me with Nord. Watching it now. I find sometimes if I try to watch and I've forgotten to connect my VPN it'll obviously block me. Then even when I connect it will continue to block me as it already knows I am not in the UK. Different browsers, disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't work. I'll usually try opening it in an incognito window (Chrome) and that seems to "reset" it. -
This is by far the best post in this entire thread. Too many people stroking their imagined grievances to support their already made up mind. Labour could cancel all personal income tax and give everyone free cars and you would still have Jonny and James and the others saying Labour hate Britain etc etc. No acknowledgement that the Tories stuffed up the economy and decimated public services, no suggestions of how they would fix the £40b hole in the country's finances, just parroting what they already believe, and if Sainsbury's are unhappy it must mean the world is coming to an end. All we need now is for the gammon faced Weatherspoons hypocrite to pipe up and James and co can get in to another tizz. Personally I think Labour are trying to do their best to fix what they inherited and they should be judged on the results, not on imagined scenarios. They are making tough and unpopular decisions that the Tories shied away from and it's not because they hate Britain. Their second budget will be most telling for me.

Thanks for the info, JB too. This was the first time I had ever noticed them. I don't have an EV which might explain why I've never noticed them but I do have real interest in them so I am normally quite observant of things EV related. It was almost two years ago when I borrowed an EV for a three day road trip and even then I was surprised at how many different brands of charger there were (each one needing an app) but seems it has grown massively since. I know if you charge at home you rarely need a public charger but it must be annoying at having so many different brands out there. Or do you tend to just stick with a couple of the main ones?

Yesterday I went to do my shop in Villa Thonglor. In the car park they had closed several bays to install EV chargers. They already had a couple of Porsche ones in there but these were called "Onion". Is this yet another brand of EV chargers? Never seen them before.
