  1. Ok, so I see that you need more to understand than the average individual here.... So, just for you, what it shows, using the same method of analysis, the same hygienic protocol, that some bottled water will show different quantities of residual content from the water, after blending. Some bottled water will show just about no residual content. Which means that some bottled water would be much better than others. Of course I could not identify what that residual content was, but it certainly did not look healthy, and I certainly do not want to ingest it. So I do buy water that at the least, have a chance of being hygienic. A was replying to Mike, who is concerned, rightly so, about the impact of all this plastic in the environment. I wish more people like him would be concerned about this issue. I just added an issue of quality of content. Not sure if you can understand that.
  2. I have been doing some test of my own, on bottles water, 12 liters, small bottles, and even the small bottles of water given at Bangkok Hospital. As I was concerned about the micro-plastic contained plastic bottles. Not that much perhaps, but then I do not trust all that is prepared in Thailand. So my makeshift test consisted of pouring some water into a blender, and activating the blender for some 10 seconds or so. Here are some pictures of the blending container, after some tests, starting with water from the White large 12 liter bottles, to the clear or light blue large 12 liter bottles. Then I tested small plastic bottles, of which the ones from Bangkok Hospital was worrisome. I even brought a picture of the results to a doctor at the hospital, asking if perhaps they would be interested in testing these waters, using their facilities. I do not know if they did... Some bottled water did a lot better than others. A real bad one would be from the white 12 liter bottles... One supplier using the clear or light blue large 12 liter bottles did very well, even if I try to get bottles that look new or nearly new, less damages by multiple uses, and sunlight... No picture is attached of that supplier, as the blender container was next to pristine...
  3. Might have been under the impression that laws are not enforced for just about anything happening on the roads. There were no warnings about possible exceptions...
  4. Odds on, you're wrong. This is a cowardly Thai thing to do, not foreigners. But maybe you're a sick foreigner who would Yeah, here we go, another Thai basher.. Try reading my many comments in this thread, educate yourself before opening your mouth. Typical Thai basher"" At least be consistent. ''Odds on, it's a foreigner'.' *** Here we go again, another foreigner basher****. ***Typical foreigner basher"*** All these adjectives, (anyone can think of a list of those) are no vector to being right in any discussion....
  5. So someone is not happy with my post about facts... So could he please inform the forum why he feels that the black individual commenting on factual black behavior is racist?
  6. So cannot resist starting with a negative... So thoughts and prayers that such negativity would fade away..
  7. All you seem to have are questions.... If you have nothing of substance to offer, why don't you just write nothing. Charlie Kirk had something to say, based on his accumulated knowledge. Until you acquire enough knowledge yourself, stay away from the keyboard. You do not have to show that you possess little knowledge. You know the saying, "better be quiet and look stupid, than write or speak, and prove it.".
  8. I strongly doubt that taking cannabis will be a way to improve your financial situation... Which is the crux of the matter...
  9. In this clip, we see clips assembled on the same subject. Charlie Kirk was a lot more than just that. Even though he (repeatedly) lists facts, but that does not make him wrong, or nasty. He was a great debater, and will be missed dearly. And as Elon Musk warned, the violence will come from the leftist ideology. And now what college students have been brainwashed into believing... Make sure you are not one of them ideologically.. Professor has HAD ENOUGH of RADICAL left students after Charlie Kirk's murder - YouTube At 20min. 50 seconds, here is an excerpt of the narrative of a leftist female student "He (Charlie Kirk) could say and have some clear points that are factually true, or statistically true, or morally true in rare cases (probably because of his stance on abortions) but that does not mean I agree with him, and everything that he did.'' This girl is in college, and says things like: 'Factually true, statistically true, morally true, but I don't agree with it.' She is the living proof that Charlie Kirk must have been right, in dropping out of a University, to go into something that could make a change for the better in society. Charlie had such specialized knowledge, making him one of the best debater on social subjects...
  10. If a gold necklace was your idea of a source of pleasure, perhaps this is an opportunity to look for pleasure somewhere else. Look at the beauty of clouds as a start. Then just take steps on walking street in the search for Siddharta... If not found in India, perhaps a bit more walking in this Buddhist country will do it.... Good luck...
  11. Vitriol from Candace Owens triggered vitriol in related comments in this forum. People just love vitriol...
  12. "and spoke fluent English, suggesting they were foreign nationals." And no accent perceived or mentioned, to point out nationality. Suggesting they were foreign nationals.... but typically creating a 'mental image' of the type of foreign national... Hope they find these guys, so that any 'mental image' can be dissipated, and replaced with an 'actual image'.
  13. And again, two residents still on the learning curve about the precepts of Buddhism...
  14. According to a study conducted by UN Women, published in April 2013, 99.3% of Egyptian women explained they had been sexually harassed, 91% of them admitting they did not feel safe on the streets. In 2008, another study by the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights pointed out that 86% of the men interviewed admitted they had already sexually harassed women. https://euromedrights.org/publication/egypt-report-violence-women/ Welcome, welcome. Hoping that Asian Muslims might show more positive cultural behavioral statistics...
  15. I have always tried to be clear when I write. Perhaps stemming from my classical education... And I always tel my son to make sure that the words he uses give the correct 'mental image' in the mind of a reader. I sent a few messages to my son this morning. Is it clear enough? Sent you a few e-mails. Gives you an idea of what is on my mind... Kirk, brainwashing, so I take the motorbike, drive around. I visited again Kata Noi, lots of demolishing and re-constructing. Remember Kata Noi, used to be my favorite beach. Lots of memories, from the times with Michael, snorkeling, beautiful small colorful fish, all the way to a short discussion with you and Chelsea, while sitting on our motorbikes, ready to take the road again. I even remember what I spoke about while sitting on the motorbike, 'better say I do not know than do not like something, and merit'. You knew about that. I still wonder if this got me further away from Chelsea than closer. And I still wonder if what I did not teach you as a kid was instrumental in you not being radicalized. Kirk's assassin must have been told about ideologies, or one ideology that was wrongly ingrained in his mind as being the truth. As we are all brainwashed, the nefarious ingrained ideas are about 'religion and politics. Should be illegal, criminal, to brainwash a child in believing strongly in these two fields. I hope that you were kept away from that as a child, so that you could make up your mind when you were mature enough. I met this guy this summer on Eddy street, and he told me that he remembered be from years ago, when he worked in a shop that I visited. I looked at him and asked; "You look Arab, you must be a Muslim". And he answered 'no', my parents never talked to me about religion when I was a kid, waiting for me to get older. And he said that when he reached about 20 years old, he realized that he believed in no God at all. It struck me, as this is what I have been believing and saying for more that two decades, should be illegal to force children in believing in an invisible man.... So more clear for my son, as he knows all the words that I use. Chelsea being his girlfriend. And 'better say I do not know than do not like something", ....because I used to ask him: 'Tell me something that you know very well, and that you do not like... and that has merit (is moral). We like what we know.....
  16. Everything so much in sync. Looks very much real to me....
  17. Charlie Kirk at his best... Some of his arguments are exactly my thoughts, what I had been saying, to anyone who thought that Trump was not good for America. Might also prove my point that we are all 'brainwashed', one way or another. The only reason I see that can explain why my thoughts are so much similar to the thoughts of Charlie Kirk, is that we have been interested in similar content, similar narratives, coming from the WEB. I have been saying that we should 'WAIT', and see the results of the policies of Trump. Just wait. This is what Kirk is saying. The Sociology teacher seems to say that Trump is putting America's economy at 'RISK', particularly with the tariffs. So he says that 'risk' is bad. Go tell that to any business person, who had to 'risk' when starting a business. Starting with: "Successful American business figures include tech pioneers like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, and Larry Page, who founded major companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Google, respectively. Other influential figures include retail innovator Sam Walton, media and philanthropic leader Oprah Winfrey, and investor Warren Buffett, known for leading Berkshire Hathaway. These individuals have transformed industries, built vast wealth, and made significant cultural impacts.". And this is why Charlie Kirk tells this PhD teacher to listen to him, a grade 12 student, as he is about to teach this teacher some valuable lessons... And the title of the debate video is somewhat misleading, as it suggests that Americans no longer trusts so called experts. I do keep a list of "Knowledge experts", and the experts suggested in this debate are not part of that list... (My list....Hitchens-Harris-Murray-Dawkins-Dillahunty-Shapiro etc) A knowledge expert has to be someone who studies extensively both sides of a subject. Charlie Kirk did. The sociology professor seems brainwashed into one side of the subject, ignoring anything that was not part of his learning. And this is why Charlie Kirk warns people about the effect of going through College and Universities. Students must complement their learning with studying other content on their own. General knowledge subjects. Most people do not. And this is why the Sociology professor mentions (unwittingly I hope) that a 'risk' in bad in its intrinsic nature. Must have smirked at all business administration teachers when walking down the corridors of his University... Thanks Charlie, the world was so much better when you were part of it, even though your legacy remains... But then there are other kinds of brainwashing. Students in Amsterdam. Stunned the interviewer. A student claims that Charlie Kirk deserved his fate, because 'He was controversial', and should not have been on a platform. Amazingly stupid. Just about al politicians are 'controversial', simply as a result of the polarization of ideologies. All politicians have to fight this polarization in all elections. So they are controversial. So would deserve to be assassinated for that, according to these students. Religions are polarized. Priests, Imams, Gurus etc. fight to obtain followers. So they are controversial. Should they be eliminated.... Since we all end up brainwashed, let's just hope that our brainwashing includes respect, courtesy and civility. Not given to all.
  18. No 'hate' in there... Facts perhaps, and then indication of a source of happiness......
  19. Oh lefties: DEI. lack of common sense Open borders, lack of common sense Steal from the middle class to give to illegals in a country, lack of common sense Invite foreigners to bring in a culture they have fled, to then want to bring this culture into a host country, any common sense in that?
  20. Go puck yourself......
  21. I typically try to use words that would give the correct mental image that I would like to convey. The mental image in my mind, related to 'hate and violence', is totally different from the mental image that I get from the word 'libertarian'. Perhaps the 'autocrat' party. Would not win a majority of adherents...
  22. You should keep your vitriolic idiotic comments to yourself a lot more..... Get lost.....
  23. THE SEVEN SEAS…. In the Middle Ages, there were seven known seas: The Red Sea The Mediterranean The Persian Gulf The Black Sea The Adriatic Sea The Caspian Sea The Indian Ocean. Sailors and pirates boasted of having sailed the seven seas. Once you had sailed the seven seas, you had seen the world.... I've seen a few seas and oceans: The Pacific in Vancouver. Its famous Wreck Beach. The Pacific in California, from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The Pacific and the Atlantic in Costa Rica. The Pacific in Acapulco Bay. The Atlantic in New Scotland and Louisbourg. Swimming in the Myra River, where the Atlantic mixes with the freshwater of the river to create this brackish water, half salty, half fresh. The Atlantic in Florida. Hollywood and Miami. The Atlantic in Wildwood, New Jersey. (Don't go there.) The Gulf of Mexico in Cancun. And along the coast to the archaeological site of Tulum. The Caribbean Sea in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Cuba. Jamaica, from Negril, where the sea is so beautiful, to Spanish Town near Kingston, then due west across the Blue Mountains, to Ocho Rios and then Montego Bay. The Lesser Antilles in Venezuela, Margarita Island. A tour of the island by car, to confirm its lack of charm. The Caribbean Sea in Cartagena, Colombia. The Atlantic in Dieppe, France. The Mediterranean in France, and the Côte d'Azur, from St. Tropez to Menton. The Adriatic Sea in Italy, from the central part to Venice. By car from Lyon, and crossing the Alps, crossing Italy, passing Milan, and reaching Venice, this city floating on the shores of the Adriatic. Excursion to the islands of this sea, Burano, Murano (magnificent handmade glass), and Torcello. The Adriatic Sea in the former Yugoslavia, from north to south. The island of Hvar near Split and also Dubrovnik. The Adriatic Sea in Greece, in Patras. Thessaloniki and Mount Olympus. Unfortunately, Zeus and Hydra weren't there during my visit. Not even Thor or Hercules. The center of the world, Delphi (proven by mythology, hehehe), and the Corinth Canal, which connects the Ionian and Aegean Seas. Delphi was the center of the world (omphalos) in the eyes of the ancient Greeks: according to myth, it was the meeting point of two eagles released by Zeus, one to the East and the other to the West. On the road between Athens and Delphi, we are told that when Oedipus arrived on this road, the Sphinx asked him: "What being, endowed with a single voice, has first four legs in the morning, then two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening?" Oedipus found the answer: it was man. Crete on many occasions, especially Plakias, within walking distance of the beautiful beaches of Ammoudi, Damnoni, and Ammoudaki. As well as Micro Ammoudi, a small beach better known as Einstein, because there is a rock in the sea, about 5 meters from the beach. And in German, the word Einstein means Ein: one, and Stein: means rock, a stone. And from there, you can rent a motorbike to go to the other end of the island, to Lendas Beach, and rent a room there for a week. Islands near Piraeus, mini-cruises to Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. The Aegean Sea in Turkey, from Marmaris to Fetiye. The Philippine Sea and the South China Sea, in the Philippines. Manila, Tacloban, Ormoc, and Cebu. The Andaman Sea and the China Sea in Thailand. Phuket Island, Koh Samui Island, Koh Phi Phi Island, Krabi, Phang Na, James Bond Island. And a visit to Cambodia for about ten days, to visit Angkor Wat, the Khmer city, the vanished city, invaded by time. In Germany, several stays in Berlin and Düsseldorf. In France, Paris, Versailles, the Loire Valley and its castles, Chenonceaux, Chambord. Normandy, Dieppe, Omaha Beach, the D-Day landing beaches.... In Dieppe, where I couldn't find a parking space, a parking attendant simply told me: Write on a piece of paper, "Canadian visiting," and put it on the dashboard, and no one will issue a parking ticket. Indeed, it was magical. his parking attendant told me the story of the Dieppe landings. He told me that in 1945, towards the end of the war, the townspeople were told to go to a shelter, because the Americans were going to come and bomb and destroy all the bridges, to prevent the enemy from reaching the town. On that day, the townspeople saw several American bombers fly over Dieppe and drop several bombs, which demolished the town, without hitting any bridges.... Days later, a similar message came, to go to a shelter, because the Americans were going to return to try to demolish the bridges once again. And there, they saw only a few bombers, and with surgical precision, all the bridges were destroyed, one by one. Then they understood that the Americans had come to bomb the first time, to destroy the town, so that they could benefit from its reconstruction after the war, which was imminently over. And they remember. And that's why if an American visits, they'll happily leave parking tickets. A Canadian, oh no. A small note left on the dashboard, identifying the driver's nationality, will do the trick. And I've dined in Amsterdam, London, Venice, Rome, Naples, Florence, and under the Eiffel Tower. And I've even seen Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. Okay! And now, today, it seems like I haven't seen anything yet. Time has done its work. A sedentary lifestyle has set in. Only Thailand, and then back home for the summer. Snowbirds go to Florida, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Costa Rica. Mainly to escape the snow, I think. Last summer, my son asked me where I'd traveled over the years. I mentioned a few places. I realized it wasn't easy to answer. So I wrote this... But then, in retrospective, nothing was really that big a deal...
