  1. For the most part, that would be considered normal forgetting as we have all done that and probably even did it when we were in our 20s... the frequency might matter if done often. Took me a minute to realize you were talking from a US perspective...
  2. sounds like a confession. We have a winner!!
  3. Generous... in English Jai dee... in Thai
  4. Assist Thai Visa has done a great job for me over many years
  5. All banks are greedy... that is the nature of the business - - all of that free squid is just part of their tentacles to pull you in... overdraft protection is nice, but I have never written a bad check in my life... it's a small perk really.
  6. 5000 baht - - -
  7. I always preferred the Left Bank - Just walk away Renee... ok - Kasikorn has been terrific for me
  8. I thought this was going to be about needing an air vent... so at least they are not prejudice...
  9. I have heard many Thai ladies refer to themselves as Nu...
  10. I don't know for sure if they can help you, but you might try Assist Thai Visa - they also offer legal services, I believe.
  11. Just make sure to check that it fits around your bicep. The first time I bought one the cuff was too small.
  12. Right next to the politicians?
  13. mine is plastic and very well behaved.
  14. A friend of mine who went from 450 lbs to 280 lbs - quite a tall fellow too - and probably been on every diet known to man since he was 15 - - put it this way - - we are chemistry sets and we are all different... he is a very smart and wonderful human being who has a hard earned career helping others... and the horrible part is the indignities he had to suffer from mean people because of his obesity. Mean people are just the worst creatures on earth... in my opinion.
  15. My wife has purchased Government Bonds - often they are limited and sell out quickly - - December she purchased bonds w/a 2 yr term yielding I think 2.4%... I don't think these were available to foreigners.
  16. It mostly comes down to the individual doctors, some good, some bad, some indifferent.... Personally, I have lost faith in most doctors. Medicine and money is not always a healthy mix... glad you survived the jellyfish, but how often do people get stung by these things?
  17. so, you drink in sessions - that explains a lot but you surely cannot criticize others for not having healthy habits...
  18. T-Bills will rise to 6% anyway... and many of these people are hell bent on bringing down the US govt from the inside... i think what you are saying was clearly valid in the past, but I am not sure that still holds - - but I thank you for your opinion and comment, now.
  19. a relative of yours?
  20. so, he had plenty of time to get drunk before going to Soi cowboy?
  21. Maybe more importantly you might have asked how drunk he was??
  22. Sure, I can barely drink 3 cokes in an hour anymore - if I had an ice cream sundae first... But seriously - what? OK. there is no seriously...
  23. I assume I am just being paranoid but if the idiots in US congress get into a budget spat and default - how will this effect treasury bills? Now that we are at 5% + I have been investing more heavily in T- Bills... Or is it that if we default the whole world economy goes into chaos?
  24. I would say mostly we talk about our lives and more so, our families. It can get a little philosophical at times and I find Thai people open up more quickly as they don't feel threatened and maybe enjoy talking w/a farang... but, all in all pretty much the same as I talk about w/my farang friends...
