  1. Well, ok, good for you getting out of there... it sounds like a real dump. I do remember a similar experience just after graduating college, the first apartment I found on my own. I was glad to find something so cheap and just signed moments after seeing it, etc etc.. and after my father saw it, he managed to get me out of my lease as there were probably many code violations, though I lost my security deposit... I am glad to hear you are finished with that place and on to the next...
  2. You can try Baan and Beyond - airport plaza mall Or Index - - on the highway next to Big C and Homepro Any one will probably have whatever you need.. make your list and have at it.

  7. Sure, skip a step, saves time
  8. Is it really? I think most would not want to be in that condition but don't know of alternatives and gradually slip into a loss of ability to make decisions...
  9. There is a place that does traditional massage in a little shopping area on the south east area outside the moat... It is the same area where Sweety Restaurant is located... the keto place - across from that... I have only been for foot massage but I am pretty sure it is a serious place, no hanky panky or hokey pokey.. There are also the places with the prisoner ladies who give massage - plenty of places really Even on Loi Kroh as you enter the soi from the moat, on your right hand side, there are places w/outside seating for foot massage, they also have a/c inside and old ladies who are pretty good...
  10. There are only two types of people... People who divide people into 2 types and people who don't...
  11. I sometimes sign off emails to friends this way but in first person... I don't know why I swallowed a fly...
  12. Sure, Maude chose 80 but Harold managed to screw it up a little... Choosing an expiration date would be convenient, but how do you legally pursue such a thing?
  13. At a great cost to society, many people are living on, in near vegetative states. They are not going to get better. Does your home country have a good way of dealing with this? I have heard that the last 6 months of life can cost $500,000 in US - I think near everyone would choose to have that money early in life, to start a business, to buy a home... but I know there is no practical way to implement this.. I have spoken to doctors who say families have problems, some wanting to let the elderly go and others wanting to save grandma at all costs... Another problem is the gradual nature of the affliction... My father became a little less reasonable year by year... none of it happy. But?? - what can you do? Do you have friends here crossing a line? Any solutions?
  14. just under the bed...
  15. Actually, a good point... Being in US $ and living in Thailand, my buying power this year, my net worth measured in baht is up 10-15% this year... it offsets the 3-4% that I have lost in the market
  16. Did great w/buy and hold from the time I was 50... not sure I have long term left... I am mostly in cash... I have bought the dip a couple of times and thought I caught the bottom. I didn't and sold at a loss... and glad to be out.

  18. I went to Casablanca for the waters... so don't ask me.
  19. Airlines work that way in USA - tkt prices for the same flight can change by the minute... If you are trading whatever you trade sparkily, you probably have more price fluctuation in 5 minutes than this price difference...
  20. yo Sparky - it is just a different business sense... it is season, they charge seasonal prices... and really, how many days have you spent there in the last 5 years that you consider yourself a valued customer? Were you spending more than other customers for the room? Or you wanted to spend less than the other customers?
  21. omg - he swims too!!!
