With your average starter home somewhere in the $400K range and a studio apartment costs $2000/mo - there is a real problem with housing in the US. If immigrants come into the US, they should be screened to make sure that they can live on the economy without government assistance while Americans who have lived on the US all their lives are struggling badly.
