Elderly British Man Injured in Electric Tricycle Crash in Pattaya
connda replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
It's not "hate." It's amazement at the stupidity. Really - are these "mobility scooters" allowed to drive on the roads and highways of any of the Western countries we come from? Probably not. Why? They don't meet standards of safety for road vehicles. If a US cop found you on the road on one you'd probably have a problem on your hands. However, granted, most US cities of the infrastructure to handle mobility scooter, in other words, functional side walks - something that is missing in Thailand. Otherwise they are a danger to both those who drive them and those who share the roads with them. They should not be on the roads. -

Would Donald Trump’s tariffs hurt US consumers?
connda replied to simple1's topic in Political Soapbox
Whose attacking whom? We are now getting ready for 4 more years of triggered, butt-hurt far-Left progressive liberal having melt-down about Trump. It was bad between 2016 - 2021. Now it should be absolutely epic. All the movie stars and celebs are leaving the US - the entire progressive far-Left should join them. -

Just like their moves to "end flooding," and "end PM 2.5 haze, and "end corruption," ending drunk-driving in a country of alcoholics is a dead-end. It will never happen. -

The Heckler-Koch machine gun send a better message, but those conducting those bloody execution where probably mentally scarred, hence lethal injection. But agree with you - I doubt if it will happen. The drama will blow over and then the sentence will be commuted to life in prison. She'll be out on parole in 20 years. -
Would Donald Trump’s tariffs hurt US consumers?
connda replied to simple1's topic in Political Soapbox
Do Thailand's tariffs hurt Thai consumers? The answer is "Yes." Equally so for proposed tariffs in the US. Tariffs are taxes on the consumers in the country where the tariffs are levied, but they are aimed at slowing imports from other countries who supply products at a lower cost. So yeah - tariffs always hurt domestic consumers. It's the government getting in the middle of a free market and punishing consumers. The trope is that it will simulate domestic production. Not if consumers are faced with equally expensive domestic products. -

Start with pharmaceutical companies who worked hand-in-hand with government agencies to promote an mRNA shot with no long-term safety or efficacy testing as "Safe and Effective?" Just, "Shut-up and take the shot, you won't get Covid," and yet - virtually everyone got Covid. "First, do no harm." Exactly. Start by getting to the bottom of the fascistic public-private partnerships between government regulators and pharmaceutical corporations they "regulate" followed by investigations into the revolving door between government agencies executives in regulatory agencies and lucrative "retirements" once out of government and hired as employees of the corporations they supposedly regulated. Sounds more like a reward. I want to see the Trump's Department of Health and the DoJ get to the bottom of regulatory capture in the pharmaceutical industry. Then let's see how "Do no harm" has been handled since March 2020.
