  1. You still don't understand how things work here? Poor man.
  2. Actually I just shut up and let my wife do all of the talking. At this point she personally knows 3 IOs at our office on a casual level and hangs out and gossips with them.
  3. The Immigration Office I go to takes appointment. They have a local online portal. Check with your immigration office and see if you can make an appointment so that your wife and plan ahead.
  4. You can get a bank letter and a 3 month listing of statements all by yourself. It's your account. In fact, if you have a joint account, you can't use it. The account must be in your own name only. So I have no idea why people are telling you that you need your wife to come in person in order to get a bank letter and a print out of last 3 months (2 months in some places) of statements. That's nonsense. You can get a K.2 by yourself too. This is why you obtain a yellow house book and a Pink National ID card. Take a signed copy of your wife's ID card as well. Take your original marriage certificate with you. Your wife doesn't need to be there.
  5. Yep. Mine changed their minds two years ago and demand 3 months of statements plus copies of the bank book.
  6. No. Which is why you need to be prepared.
  7. Which is exactly what you need to do OP. I do that at my own Immigration office year to year because each Immigration office is its own fiefdom and things change year-to-year at individual offices that may not affect anywhere else.
  8. So wife must be there with me at the amphur to get it ? Yes. or can I get it on my own? No.
  9. This is a little dated by was drawn up by Ubon Joe who was our resident expert up until his death - RIP🙏
  10. Watched Cronenberg's The Shrouds and was like, "Ok?" by the end. Sorta the same feeling I had at the end of Videodrome.
  11. Speed Kills - especially when poor drivers encounter rain.
  12. Nah. Just leave it on the coffee table over night and eat it to clear the hangover cobwebs from the previous night's kegger party.
  13. Margarita pizzas are really good if made right. However, I tend to like thicker crust pizzas. We had a really good Italian restaurant in Tacoma, WA and Margarita pizzas and Spaghetti Puttanesca were two of my favorite.
  14. That's at least two or three grade levels above most other "i hait donld turmp cuz he stoopid" Einsteins here on AseanNow whose primary purpose in life is to rage on about how badly they detest Donald J. Trump. But post after post after post after post after post just goes to show that Trump has taken up residence in your mind and you allow him to live in your head rent free. I don't particularly like Trump and the last 146 days since his inauguration has given me even more reason to dislike him. He constantly lies, his words mean nothing, he can't be trusted, he engages in hyperbole, and is a narcissistic megalomaniac and an otherwise f'd-up human being - I get that. But the constant, never-ending disparagement and derogatory taunting and explicit trolling that is then rolled up into post after post after post after post after post by the same people is just freaking infantile. It accomplishes nothing other than to prove that Trump has infested your mind and that you're unable to exorcise him. These posts are like a manic-compulsive Christian genuflecting and crossing themselves over and over again during their waking hours in order to chase the satanic-dictator and virus-king, Trump The Magnificent and Sublime - out of your head in a desperate act to dispel the Trump-Demon from inside your brain. It's just pathetic. That level of compulsive behavior in not a sign of good mental health.
  15. I am 100% PRO-IMMIGRATION when it is done 100% Legally. Apply for a visa to be an agricultural worker, preform the work, when Winter arrives - go home. I am 100% ANTI-IMMIGRATION when people cross the border illegally or overstay their visas. Just like here in the LOS. With that said, Congress could and should create legislation to clean up the mess at ICE and to provide solid, well established visa systems that FACILITATE the ability of migrant, seasonal labor to enter the US labor force, and then leave when their visas are expired. Also - there should be no US Welfare for migrant labor. If the US can give illegal migrant labor free healthcare, free housing, and access to SNAP, then god-damn-it they can give a US citizen with eight years of military service and all other US veterans 100% free healthcare, free or subsidized housing, and access to SNAP too. But that's not what happens. US vets are kicked to the streets and illegal are provided with housing and subsidies that offset the outrageous cost of living in the US. When my grandparents and great-grandparents came to the US at the end of the 19th century, they weren't greeted with a social safety net. You came to the US and you worked to survive. If you couldn't survive, that was your problem. In today's United States we are now told that those who cross our borders illegally to work are welcome and deserve to obtain housing and economic benefits that not even US veteran can obtain. Again - I'm 100% PRO-LEGAL-IMMIGRATION. But large corporations which depend on this labor expect the State to pick up the tab for these worker's healthcare, housing, food, and lodging. THAT'S WHAT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH!
  16. So OP - that makes you 100% against Thai Immigration raids on farangs as well.
  17. I have cats and birds. The birds are probably more vicious than the cat. They keep the jingjoes populations in check in the kitchen. As far a jingjoes, whenever I see jingjo poop, I think, "dead mosquitoes." All is well in the world.
  18. Long Live The New Flesh!
  19. ...because he needs to be close to a helicopter in order to fly him to his private jet back to Dubai if the "correct" verdict is issued by the courts.
  20. How many expats does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None. It takes one Thai to screw in the light-bulb and 26 expats to argue about it on AseanNow!
  21. So what Trump is saying is that it impacts his own businesses and real estate holdings?
  22. Public Skepticism Persists as Thailand Enforces New Traffic Fine System Probably because every Thai, including every long stay expat, know that this has nothing to do with "public safety" and everything to do with revenue collection.
