  1. Global warming is affecting people's minds.
  2. Same as western countries. Common amongst Thais and common with foriegners and Thai women. Even legally married foriegn men have girlfriends or Mia noi's.
  3. Ridden many bikes in UK because i use to service bikes and repair them for mechanical damage and crash damage. Not interested in small bikes, I would like a ride on a classic NSR500 but i have never liked smely 2 strokes
  4. What makes me laugh is a thread like this talking about a small displacement bike.
  5. You can make the standard bike to preform well enough for what you need in Thailand. No need waste money on OCD gear like some here, unless you want to do the famous world rally cross desert event. ????
  6. With mods you can make the crf250 the same with cog changes you only to lose some top speed, you could still manage 120kph off though if you want.
  7. The 300 is improved over the 250 as you would expect from Honda but the only real difference is the price.
  8. I would say 15/45 will be sufficient can't see it needed the next step which is 3 phase. I heard people charge with them sun panel thingys on their roof.
  9. FD have been very handy as my 2 private pensions suppliers won't pay the pensions into a bank abroad. I have one small problem with them and that is them changing my debit card which was Visa to MasterCard and Wise says it's locked. The robot couldn't help ???? so spoke on chat, FD said its Wise not setting up properly, emailed Wise twice no answer, Wise put message on screen you need to talk to your bank, so it's just going around in circles. I sent money to Wise from my 1st account so as of now I have no need of the MasterCard debit card.
  10. Yes Thais do like high pressure ???? . Scoot and Wave tyres i do at home with foot pump. My big bike and truck i do at the PTT garage and check with gauge and their pump is very accurate.
  11. The UK govt directive is you have to renew every 10 years.
  12. Pressure important the rest is in the head and BS. I wouldn't pay out 12,000 baht for tyres on my bike every 2 years that is OCD at its best. Tyres have a life cycle yes but the most important thing is to inspect regulary, protect from sun as much as possible and keep an eye on the pressure job done.
  13. Leaving a vehicle untaxed for road and not having the rolled up certificate you refer to, which is the road tax disc will eventually lead to unregistering the vehicle. Also fines by police. The road tax disc can only be obtained with the green bike book or a photocopy of the green book and certificate of CTPL govt insurance. When the bike becomes 5 years old you need an inspection certification as well. Nearly all places where you get a 5 year old bike inspection of the bike will get the CTPL and road tax disc for you from the local DLT.
  14. When emptying a tank i use WD40 to prevent rust forming internally in the tank.
  15. Hear what you say, doing any maintenance on my Mia Noi is not a problem for me being retired i love it. ????????
  16. Yes as a mechanic sounds to me not using the the bike regularly you should drain the carbs when the bike is not used for long periods. I start up my blade every 2 weeks if i don't ride it no problem.
  17. Puncture on my truck was 100 baht locally, shoot them. ????
  18. I would only disagee with you on carbs over Fi and that's because i can fix my carbs as a mechanic that i use to be and not a "with the want of of better not so nice words" a computer spanner. ????????
  19. The VFR750R (RC30) and the 400 is a blast and an icon as well, like my Blade it has nothing on it that an experienced rider needs it is perfection.
  20. Yeah fair call, when it comes to big bikes it's important not scoots that people are calling big bikes.
  21. I got my new tyres for my CBR900RR in Bangkok they balanced them up only because of the speed the bike is capable of. Cbr250 can balance yourself easy enough no problem.
  22. Fair call, the same gas bottle for us is still 400 and don't remember when it went up but what I'm kinda saying from my point view is over the 2 months usage any increases are negligible. I appreciate for business it can be difficult.
  23. I carry a can which blows up the the tyre and seals any punctures with in reason which can get you home. Or you can buy puncture repair kits but you need strong lungs to blow the tyre up after repairing it.
  24. Look on Utube how to balance motorbike wheels yourself, i can't be bothered to explain. Also little wheels on scooters don't necessarily need balancing when a new tyre is fitted.
