  1. I think you should ask your question in the visa forum. https://aseannow.com/topic/1356064-thailand-digital-arrival-card-tdac-system-is-online-but-not-announced-as-starting-yet/?do=getNewComment
  2. To call people whom I don't have on WhatsApp, LINE or WeChat, I use a VOIP app. ChipButty mentioned one above, and there are many others. VOIP calls can be made to both landlines and and mobile phones. The other party does not need any app to receive the call. Personally, I am subscribed to Nonoh and VoipDiscount.
  3. I'm still trying to get Tesla shares at USD 200 and sold a PUT option expiring this Friday. It's getting closer to my target.
  4. Thank you for this additional information.

  6. Based on the latest official information, you can complete the online TDAC form at the earliest three days before your arrival date in Thailand and at the latest immediately before presenting your passport to immigration at your arrival port. It is highly recommended to do it before your arrival, if possible. 7. Hold your breath for separate news articles for each of the other 204 countries. Joking aside, the OP is probably based on an article published on a UK news site, hence the "UK" in the topic title.
  8. If I my country of residence were Thailand if by the time I would need to do the TDAC Thailand were not on the list, I would select the country of my nationality. If the immigration official would question me about it, I would explain the situation to him.
  9. Desktop computer or phone?
  10. Does the ครับ (khrap) of these Thai women sound the same to your ears when they speak to you and to Thai persons?
  11. @still kicking It depends on the size of your glass and the alcohol content of the wine. See here: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/alcohol-advice/calculating-alcohol-units/#:~:text=The idea of counting alcohol, can process in an hour.
  12. The price probably varies with the season. When is the harvesting season?? Other price factors are the species and the quality.
  13. On the highway you don't mind hearing the chimes, but around town you would?
  14. Are you trying to buy or to sell?
  15. If anyone else is wondering where the Father Ray Foundation is, this is the address on Google Maps: 440 หมู่ 9 Sukhumvit Rd, Tambon Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand I don't know what หมู่ stands for. The developers of Google Maps apparently also didn't know.
  16. What's the problem, imagined or real, current or feared to come up in the future?
  17. Not yet available. I am staying tuned to this forum for further news. If the DTAC will be implemented starting 1 May 2025, I expect a link for the data entry to be published not later than 23:59 hours (12.59pm) on 29 April.
  18. There are no signs that opening bank accounts are getting easier.
  19. I have a feeling that Thailand’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, does not know what he is talking about. The way I understand it, BRICS is about using currencies other than the United States dollar (USD) for international trading between member countries of BRICS if the seller and buyer agree on the currency to use, nothing more. It has to do absolutely nothing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Incidentally, the choice to use a currency other than USD has always existed, long before the advent of BRICS.
  20. Throwing pizzas into the wind? Makes no sense, nor woud it make any sense if your zz were replaced with ss, even though I do know meaning of urinating into the wind.
  21. Care to say which part of Thailand? If someone tells you where in Mae Hong Son, it won't help you if you live in Songkhla, will it.
  22. Wait and see. The decree will override any bank's terms and conditions. With a decree saying that the banks and "mobile operators" are jointly responsible "for any customer losses due to technological crimes", for example when a customer has given the login details to the criminals in response to a phishing email, banks will likely stop offering e-banking services or restrict them severely.
  23. "The revised decree, approved by Thailand’s cabinet on January 28, places responsibility jointly on banks and mobile operators for any customer losses due to technological crimes, conditional on compliance failures with the new regulations."
