  3. Thailand is a signatory but it hasn't been ratified.
  4. I have my Monzo banking app set up on a Thai phone, address is in the UK.
  5. Note that it's monsoon season in the south from October through December. Switching to the west coast after Surat will save you some of the rain, you also avoid Thung Song near NST which is notorious flooding hot spot. But monsoon rain reduces driver visibility and the ability to stop, so I'd be extra cautious, and make sure your health insurance covers cycling!
  6. Only when the person in front reclines there seat to maximum leaving me little option
  7. Yes. Had an interest in rocks & fossils as a child, studied geology at university, became a professional geologists. Worked for over 40 years in mineral exploration & mining. Semi-retired now but still consult to a handful of projects that interest me. Geology has been very good to me.
  8. Does the browser (and therefore iPlayer) have permission to see your phone location? I can get the iPlayer to work using Brave and NordVPN on my Android - I just checked.
  9. Yep. I did exactly that last week. Renewed my passport whilst in the UK arriving back I gave my new passport to the IO together with my old one open at the extension and re-entry permit. No problem at all. Went to immigration in Hat Yai today to have the extension and re-entry permit transferred to the new passport.
  10. Hardly, Poland didn't occupy Germany, stealing the fertile land and condemn the Germans to the South African equivalent of Bantustans. Ditto Ukraine was occupied by Russia not the other way round. .
  11. or "There are no pockets in shrouds" as my mother would say. Great source of wisdom my mother, there are several pieces of advice I try to stick to. "Never a lender nor a borrow be" "Never spend money you don't have" "One enemy is one too many, one more friend is still one too few" "Don't put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today" "Everything has its place, and everything in its place"
  12. Handily sullied by a recent search of his home.
  13. Whine, whine, whine. Forget your issues with Martinez, that can't cover the fact your bunch of over priced prima donnas just can't get the ball in the net, but Villa could. UTV. .
  14. Last year the monsoon started early October then stopped, didn't get going again until November and then carried on into January rather than ending around New Year. Weather this year in Hat Yai has been all over the place, so suspect the monsoon season this year will be similarly unpredictable.
  15. Would you care to substantiate this? 95% is rather a certain number in as yet very uncertain field of study.
  16. Much of the central area of Hat Yai, from Kimyong Market south to Lee Garden Plaza and on to BP Grand is a tourist trap. If you really want overpriced food then check out the evening food stalls around Lee Garden Plaza, prices are laughable, but Malaysians flock there.
  17. But it's a food stall in Kimyong market that draws a lot of Malaysian, Singapore & Indonesian tourists (and the occasional South Korean) who seem happy enough to pay the inflated prices. There are plenty of other places that sell excellent Hat Yai fried chicken.
  18. From the restaurants response to the YouTubers they should have been charged Bht380 as follows 3 large thigh pieces @ Bht80 = Bht240, 3 drumsticks @ Bht35 = Bht100, 2 boxes of rice @ Bht 20 per box = Bht40 - total Bht380. But they charged for 6 large thigh pieces Bht480 plus Bht40 for the rice. https://www.msn.com/th-th/news/other/แพงไปมั้ย-ยูทูบเบอร์ดัง-ซื้อไก่ทอด-6-ชิ้น-520-บาท/ar-AA1gx7Lq
