You all are missing the point (pun alert): It's them stiletto heels that are a dangerous weapon and should be outlawed...try to get hurt by flip flops is way more difficult.

Wow, what did Thaksin do wrong to receive all this negativity?
Seems like a nice airport.Skytrain is pretty cool. The 30 baht per visit medical program seems to help many in need.Everyone benefited from the economic recovery from the 1997 Asian financial crisis.Reducing poverty from 21.3% to 11.3% is a good thing I think.Balancing the national budget and producing fiscal surpluses for 2003 to 2005 would be considered fiscally responsible.Foreign exchange reserves doubling seems like a success.Government Lottery for education would have not only reduced illegal gambling, but provided education for those in need.Privatizing MCOT and increasing freedom of speech seems like a move in the right direction.Student Loan Fund (SLF) helping low income students get an education with low interest rates was nice.Supporting Nicholas Negroponte's One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project was a cool idea.Wholesale power pool competition in the energy markets lowering these costs would tend to benefit the people.Introducing Islamic law and making Pattani-Malay (Yawi) an official language in southern region seemed like a start to help reduce conflict there.Transformation of the government department, ministries, and provincial governors operating style of the traditional bureaucracy into a more results-oriented instrument would have been awesome.Crackdown on mafia crime was long overdue.Profit agreements with Cambodia on the huge oil potential in the gulf of Thailand could have made Thailand energy independent.you have a lot more posts than I do, so you should know that people here just hate him.
Even if he is not the real problem.
The real problem is the hate...
No, the real problem is arrogance, impunity and face,...hate is just the end result.

So ...
The police were tasked by the NCPO
They found that 'Investigations have revealed that the actions were part of a larger movement aimed at destabilizing the country.'
While the Yingluck government was in power.
Logical conclusion, ....
It was Thaksin.
Yeah, right.
Posters here are basically blind.
Ok, I'll bite...
This is it, pay attention now, I'll even dumb it down for you:
the government is not the country
understand? simple, really...
...and since you say "Posters here are basically blind", what does that make you, basically?

The Japanese businessman who fathered 13 children
This guy is called a 'businessman' in all the articles, yet I haven't read what kind of business he is running and his company's name. Maybe something for all you journalists to investigate instead of copying from each other.

Build a National Corruption Museum, with life-size wax effigies of famous corruptors in scenes where they were caught red-handed. A special section dedicated to the BiB, with quotes from famous politicians sanctioning corruption as being part of Thainess. Exhibitions of bribe coercing, taking and spending with a thorough explanation of effects on Thai people and culture. Roadshows to bring the museum to all parts of the country and, lastly, mandatory fieldtrips for school kids as part of their graduation.

Not much different to the US government televising a young lady talking about Iraqis throwing babies out of their incubators in Kuwait. That worked well enough to inflame the US citizens when they wanted a war with Iraq. But the Bush government was never brought to heel over the fact that she was the daughter of a Kuwaiti diplomat and a liar.
reminds me of movie "wag the dog" with Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman

It was supposed to be fireworks, welcoming the Pope. The Dear Leader got the wording wrong in the memo, is all. They found someone to be responsible already and are feeding him to the dogs at this moment.

Treasury to cut cost for coin production
...and once they have done that, they will introduce a utterly useless 3-baht coin to complement the utterly useless 2-baht coin, so they can add up to 5 baht. Yeah!

it's very good, got rid of a stubborn bitcoin miner which maxed my graphics processor and made it run hot all the time. It's cloud based and uses I think over 70 different Malware and Virus engines. And it's free.

"Extortionist" - pure cow dung - these stooopid accusers on Facebook, all they needed to do is google the meaning of "extortionist" and they would have realized that this man is in fact a "Contortionist" just about to start his routine!

Shortly after Sweden was recognized as having the worst record in the European Union for employing foreign non-EU citizens, the country’s Integration Minister Erik Ullenhag announced plans to investigate the process of eliminating the word from all of its legislation.
Well, Sweden:
1. someone will have to have the "worst" record on a list of countries, no way around it
2. will the EU sanction you for employing the least amount of non-EU citizens?
3. how do you fight racism, when you can't even define the concept in a law?
you once were Vikings, now you are Weaklings

Most of the complaints against taxi drivers deal with their use of rude language with passengers
70% of the time I don't even get language, if I am lucky I get a grunt, or a "hunh?"

Crackdown on Bangkok taxi drivers who refuse to accept passengers
Clampdown on taxi drivers who refuse to accept passengers
To crack, or to clamp, that is the question, though a question more at home in a hospital's operating room in my opinion. I do hope they will figure out whether to crack or clamp those taxi drivers, because if they do refuse passengers, they deserve a proper cracking/clamping. Just make sure you don't crack the ones up for a clamping and vice versa, as this could cause a legal backlash resulting in a crackdown or clampdown on the Land Transport Department.

He said if the proposal receives approval, the department is then ready to act immediately.
Kudos to the Excise Department, sooo eager, chomping at the bits...while all the other departments are digging their noses, the Excise Department is like a pure thoroughbred, trembling and straining and yearning for the starting shot.

Pattaramon maintains the Thai agency who managed the surrogacy said the couple wanted her to have an abortion -- illegal in Thailand -- once medical tests revealed the boy had Down's syndrome, but she refused.
I think this sentence should read:
Pattaramon maintains the Thai agency who managed the surrogacy -- illegal in Thailand -- said the couple wanted her to have an abortion -- illegal in Thailand -- once medical tests revealed...

NORTH Korea is angry and it’s not going to take it anymore.
Wow. Whatever someone did, I just wanna say: You are on the right track, buddy! Just a tiny, teeny, wafer-thin bit more...

Can I follow both Christianity and Buddhism?
Don't be a follower, do what you know/feel is right for you. Don't rely on the views of others, especially priests/monks, make up your own mind. 'Worship' is an invention of the priesthood, not a requirement of any religion, just being decent is enough.

I was shocked reading the headline.
You gave joy, but didn't take any.
Be at peace.

It was agreed at the three-day conference, which ended on Friday and was organised by Unesco and the Ministry of Education, that there was not a single definition for global citizenship.
Looks like it was a success, then. Budget well spent.

He said he thought there must have been some kind of misunderstanding.
The first thing out of any officials mouth when something comes to light is "misunderstanding". And the "misunderstanding" always involves money flowing to the officials, never ever the other way around. These "misunderstandings" are extremely biased, benefitting only the officials.

“They come to our beaches for the convenience. If we can’t provide such services, tourists will simply find an alternate beach destination in a different country,” he said.
"Can't you see, the Dollars, Euros, Yen, Yuan, Rubles are leaving Thailand, right now. We were the ones who kept them here!", said the Jet Ski vendor

UK: Tilbury container stowaways included 13 children
in World News

They are classified as "immigrants" from the start, not "asylum seekers", or "fugitives". An immigrant Is: a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence (Merriam-Webster). All right UK, time to squeeze just that tiny bit more, no sweat.
