PM Pledges Reform After Low Corruption Ranking for Thailand
Thailand probably just needs better PR for their corruption. Maybe a huge media and film industry to suppress and indeed normalize it?

Thai QR Payments by Foreign Visitors Surge 143% Year on Year
When / if money becomes tokenized and digital (CBDC) only, you will be limited to how / where / what you can spend it on, possibly taxed at source, fined for social media posts, going over your 'carbon limit' etc. Already happening in China.

Thai QR Payments by Foreign Visitors Surge 143% Year on Year
I think you'd be surprised. Incoming AI data centers will be building a profile of all our transactions, locations, carbon emissions, tracking, etc. I'm using cash as long as possible.

Ridiculous things you buy on Lazada and Shopee
After ordering a supposed "Makita" grass strimmer from Lazada, the 3/4 scale flimsy toy that arrived put me off from ordering anything else from online bulk shopping sites, tbh. 😜 Anything electrical, mechanical, clothing, shoes, etc., I'd rather go to an actual shop and see / try before I buy.

Starmer: Labour ignored illegal immigration concern for too long
Starmer trying to push through the Digital ID that his mentor the war criminal Tony Bliar failed to foist on a reluctant UK populace. Using the BS excuse of an immigration "crisis". There is a big backlash against this massive intrusion of privacy (coupled with a CBDC will amount basically to slavery) in the UK, or so it appears. So far, 1.5 million people have signed a petition against it. Here you go: No to Digital ID: UK https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/730194

Drowning Deaths in Thailand Average 10 Per Day — Working-Age Adults Most at Risk
Considering the amount of natural waterways, and vast coastlines of Thailand, it is pretty sad that swimming lessons aren't mandatory in state schools. Here in Eastern Thailand alone, many of the beaches have dangerous 'riptides' that account for tourist deaths also.

Causes of the exponential increase in Thai obesity?
Sugar is a big culprit here, no question. Thais put it in most cooked foods and it's obviously in all the processed product food also. Obesity here is nowhere near as a lot of other (Western) countries, but the levels of diabetes here is worrying. Thais enjoy 'snacking' between meals, contributing to insulin and blood sugar levels that are off the charts.

Russian MMA Fighter's Electrifying Victory in Thailand Goes Viral
Cannabis before fighting?? 😆 Might be okay before a competitive-eating event, but weed isn't exactly a PED in the sports / fighting arena.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
"Murderbot". Sounds interesting, but 3 episodes in and the rebel droid still hasn't offed any of the annoying box-ticking 'crew' he's supposed to be taking care of. Not wasting any more time on it. 🤪

COVID-19 Severity Fades, But Virus Remains, says Dr. Yong
You remind me of those Japanese soldiers still living in the Philippine jungles years after WWII had ended. The whole Covid (scam) seems to have become your raison d'etre. How sad.

Brit tourist, 29, 'beats Australian friend, 58, to death during drunken row in the street'
The headline implies a sustained beating, but sounds like it was the concrete pavement that did the damage.

1 in 3 Children Now Short-Sighted after Covid Lockdowns Study Reveals
Doubt it. Arbitrary and foolish Covid responses did destroy small businesses, livelihoods, family life, physical and mental health and education for a vast number of people though.

Brace for a downpour: 42 provinces in for a wet and wild ride
Eastern Thailand usually gets a lot of rain at the end of September - October. I live in Rayong and it rains every night here. Local ponds and reservoirs almost full, compensating for the low rainfall we had last year.

Digital wallet to the rescue: PM bets on cashing in for Thailand’s economy
Digital money and Central Bank Digital Currency means; negative interest rates, tax at source, zero privacy, social credit scores, debanking for perceived infractions, and everything 100% dependent on Govt power sources and internet. It is the opposite of personal wealth and financial freedom.
