Are consumers paying price for electricity mismanagement in Thailand?
huangnon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Having done a fair amount of work here with EGAT over many years, the answer is a resounding 'yes'. ???? -
Personally not a fan of ink or needles. I don't mind what other people do to their bodies though. Girls with the discreet tatts are quite a turn-on, but I dislike the heavily-tattooed look. Live and let live.

Thailand’s 2022 daily minimum wage may be raised from October 1
huangnon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Key word here is "may". Sounds a bit like an empty election promise, imo. -
A large amount of the population here were just subsisting before Covid, massive inflation, joblessness, and rising energy costs. Bear in mind there is virtually no welfare safety net, or unemployment benefits here in Thailand. I don't think 50k/month is representative of Thailand's household income. I doubt the "UTCC" even bothered itself to survey outside Bangkok.

Same guy. Professor Neil Fergusson at Imperial College, London. Failed computer modeller extraordinaire. Always gets his modeled predictions totally wrong, and indeed is the 'go-to' guy for wrong predictions... Funded by the usual suspects (Bill & Melinda, WHO, etc). https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/six-questions-that-neil-ferguson-should-be-asked

Not sure, but the pair I bought are lighter than their (waterproof) walking shoes anyway. https://www.decathlon.co.th/en/p/8513387/trail-running-shoes/xt7-trail-running-shoes-for-men-blue-and-bronze

Yep, have ordered a few different walking shoes from Decathlon. The comfort and durability is great for the price tag. The "Trail Running" style shoes are worth a look also.

What the xxxx has happened to British comedy
huangnon replied to worgeordie's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
When comedy legends like Jerry Sadowitz start getting canceled in their own country you know something is wrong. Hopefully, this silly and self-defeating BS censorship will go full circle and fade away to a distant memory. -
Man pilloried online for ramming car into students on zebra crossing
huangnon replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Maybe getting "pilloried" for real might help these people augment a few manners or consideration for other road-users and pedestrians? -
Maybe everyone is overlooking the fact that Germans are noted for having a legendary sense of humour, and he's just utilizing his devastating wit and repartee.?

My neighbour and friend passed away recently. He had been suffering from diabetes and heart problems for a while and was virtually bed-ridden for the last year of his life. He was 74yo, and when he finally passed on, his body was taken away from his house, and was declared to have died from "Covid", even though he had not left the house, or any of his immediate family being tested positive for C-19.. (At his funeral, a bunch of goons with full Hazmat suits and visors delivered his body to the temple and no one was allowed to go near the casket).
