In general, any IDP sold online is fake. 1949 or 1968 convention is irrelevant with fake documents. There may be some countries that let you apply online but it will be an official website and they won't be placing ads. Thailand has ratified both treaties and should be able to issue both IDP's. 1949 IDP is good for 1 year and 1968 IDP is good for 3 years. You should get the one that matches the treaty the country you are visiting ratified. If that country ratified both the get the 1968 IDP.
