How to reduce size of images on Vivo phone?
KhunBENQ replied to mixed's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Hope there is a Vivo user who can tell. On Samsung the photos are opened in the gallery app by default. There is 3-dot (3 vertical dots) menu below. Click on and select Details. -
How to reduce size of images on Vivo phone?
KhunBENQ replied to mixed's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
The video indeed does not show what happens if you click on "More" (right hand side). You should see "64MP UHD" or "High Resolution"....? Click on it? And then? Would help to know what exact model you have as one finds differing naming on the models. I once tried the "3:4 64MP" option on my Samsung and it's really not worth to play with these bulky files. They can also be stored in some format other than JPG. Not worth the headache. -
How is situation right now in pattaya with flooding?
KhunBENQ replied to parafareno's topic in Pattaya
As I am only an occasional visitor I hesitated to answer. But sure there is no persistent flooding in Pattaya. It's a limited area in the "lowlands" of South Pattaya rd, Soi Buakhao etc. Will usually runoff till the next morning. If your condo is uphill (Soi 16 hill or the like) then there is little chance of serious flooding. Of course part of rainwater can flow to underground garages. Is there some barrier (hump)? Hard to tell without seeing the exact location. -
Closest land border from Phuket?
KhunBENQ replied to Leveraged's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Very easy as a one day trip on the weekend (Saturday). AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur. Land border? Is there anything closer than Sadao (Songkhla province) to Malaysia? But that's for the locals. -
Domestic Flights/ Covid Requirements
KhunBENQ replied to Barry Morris's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Nothing since months. Even to Phuket last December nothing. To/from Khon Khaen nothing. Even the last strongholds Samui and Chiang Mai have given up checks on arrival. TO Bangkok there never was a restriction. -
True. Like it or not. I stopped silly mask wearing on the bike but also have to accept grannys on bicycles with mask! Lotus Makro all masked. Of course mask in all government, banks etc And from the OP I suggest: find another country. Not only for the mask topic. Land of the free? Haha 8 years under the rule of a coup general.

For the communication cables (mainly fiber optic) it's not rocket science to have them watertight. Even now they are exposed to torrential rains incl the joints/boxes overhead. The backbone of the internet are big fiber optic cables buried on the ocean grounds. High voltage cables (12kV up) underground is very expensive and I doubt that this will be done on a wide scale.

Danger? Loaning My Scooter to a Friend
KhunBENQ replied to Ebumbu's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
3 years is just the limit for paying tax retroactive and a small fine without a new registration (some say the offices are relaxed about this rule?). She should (extra carefully) drive to the nearest vehicle inspection workshop (yellow cogwheel) with the green book (registration book) and let them say what is doable. They can take care for the whole process. Inspection needed anyway. Rarely fails. -
What is the best 6 month unlimited data tariff?
KhunBENQ replied to spambot's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
It's quite different from the operators packages. I works on a specific 4G(LTE) band nationwide (2300 MHz. (LTE Band 40)). If someone could tell what this means for coverage and how to find whether one's mobile works with that. -
Good time visiting Jomtien beach within the next 10 days?
KhunBENQ replied to Serengeti228's topic in Pattaya
You wrote that you check the weather forecasts regularly. And if you can believe them there will be moderate intermittent rain only. 25 to 30 mm / day at worst. That would be OK for September. https://meteologix.com/th/forecast/1614295-pattaya/xltrend/euro/precipitation (uncheck the extreme differing like GEM, Access-G, ... I usually only look at ECMWF forecasts) -
Danger? Loaning My Scooter to a Friend
KhunBENQ replied to Ebumbu's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
How old is the scooter? When was the last year the scooter was taxed/insured? Normally there is no need for YOU to take care about tax/insurance/testing. She can do. Registering it to her name is a different story. -
Just coming back 120km from Udon. Hardly any rain in Udon. Driving 100 km over dry roads. Entering our district. Flooded roads, drizzle and rain since two days. Berlin: 800 sqkm. Can have flooded cellars in the south. Nothing in the north. Got the point? Rain is not a flat carpet over Bangkok. Cells can be very small and very intense. And obviously the plane could land in Suvarnabhumi the same night. Just seen that @NanLaew has explained it in more detail

As I understand the described method would result in registering the banking app to a new phone (and phone number). 1) As far as I know there is no way to change the phone number for receiving OTP (one time pins for transactions) other than visiting a branch with your ID. So simply transferring to another phone nr? No. 2) I am not aware that you could use the banking app without knowing the login pin (or fingerprint) and this is not stored on/sent to the phone 3) my phone is always locked, at least requires a pin/password/fingerprint or whatever to unlock. I would also power it off if I am forced to put in a locker or safe. And wouldn't it be safer to have the phone with me at a gym, placed near me in a bag or so than in such an easy accessible locker?
