  1. One place only? Summer somewhere in northern Italy at one of the big lakes. Is George Clooney's villa still on sale 😁 Northern winter on the southern hemisphere. Brazil?
  2. Just in case you want to study in detail Thepphrasit road near Soi 11: https://maps.app.goo.gl/MN1PaXTUwFvBgjTy5
  3. Yes, seems different worlds. Never entered mobile number to get a queue ticket at immigration, DLT or bank.
  4. Good that my car has rear and front view camera. More about driving over one of my dogs. Why not mandatory for new pickup models.
  5. Just seen a video about Bali Hai parking. Same procedure. What shortcut is possible!? How the heck did he get onto the parking deck? Absolute death wish. Blurred vision after operation but driving through Pattaya city. Watching traffic you might think there are more such drivers.
  6. Delivery truck running out of fuel. Fool! On a bridge, worst possible location.
  7. How does this "automated parking" work? What has the guy to do at the parked vehicle? Did he sit in the car while it was moved around? Seen a video from such a building in Udon Thani (Bangkok Hospital). Simply said: you drive into a bay (closed walls). Leave and lock the car, get out, shutter closes, get some card, walk away. Car will be moved to the parking lot completely unattended. Come back, put card in some reader and wait for car to be brought back. No chance to misstep anywhere. Is that different in Bali Hai?
  8. ? What do you refer to? Visiting a branch and draw a queue ticket??
  9. Are you sure it was mandatory to enter the phone number? Maybe. At our local branches of Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn this is not required. BUT: at Kasikorn in Pattaya (Central) you COULD enter your phone number to get an SMS shortly before you are due And the queue was quite long. Just took a seat outside and waited.
  10. Of course your money is not lost. Otherwise there would be a firestorm of news.
  11. Seems the extensive news coverage about potential account closures have not reached everyone? It started with Bangkok Bank locking accounts that had been opened with visa exempt or tourist visa status. It's all about the criminals that could enter the country and do their dirty scam businesses. Chinese and Russians topping the list. If you have the account since more than about 3 or 4 years and have a long-term status there is no concern. Why you have been asked to show up at all is a bit exceptional. Neither Bangkok Bank nor Kasikorn gave me any headache. My Kasikorn account was opened 2009 on visa exempt with a hotel address! That were the times 😊 Of course during the time this has been updated on multiple routine visits. Just recently went there for facial scan setup. At this occasion they did a full identification with passport, photos and signatures. Signatures did not match to satisfaction so they created a new sample and made a new book.
  12. It's about increasing limits, particularly the single transfer limit of 50k. I don't think you are forced to have it setup. And wow, for once it worked for me. 90k from my BKB to Kbank. It seems all about this blinking with the eyes at the right time. But yes it's annoying. Why can't they give audio instructions or some flashing/big font. They could really use some help from experienced developers. In the west accessibility is a big thing.
  13. Maybe the stuff over the counter is not as strong as what they use at the clinics? Of course not trying anything stronger at home!
  14. I have three immigration offices as my LINE "friends". Chonburi and Korat are somewhat active. Khon Kaen is useless/dead. Showing office location that has changed twice in the meantime.
  15. The stuff they use at some clinics is: Hydrogen peroxide Low concentration, 3%. Makes that bubbling sound while it works in your ear. I think I will give it a try when I experience clogged ear another time. https://youtu.be/kWjSfG02giM?si=tPJVEaDn6OnYOZmI
  16. 10th is Asanha Bucha, one of the highest Buddhist holidays. 11th is beginning of Buddhists lent (Khao Pansa). Not just a "freebie". I think both will be dry days
  17. Pensions taxed in Thailand... Banks closing accounts... Potential rise of financial requirements for extension... It's now three months to next extension and no tax return requested. Banking smooth. 65k+ per month. Who has more?
  18. Not much less than Thai Airways depending on dates (varies widely). And there you see the final price when browsing. Typical AN thread hitting the topic starter who has a legit (although long known) complaint.
  19. Welcome to the world of budget airlines. The start from... Good you didn't write "new scam". Age old from the beginning. Pay for payment one of the biggest jokes. It's all about ranking in searches to get up in the list and lure you to their site. 1200 for a domestic return? For me obviously a decoy. 1000 one way was the rule of thumbs before COVID..
  20. Do you have 3BB internet? I had problems to access iHerb too. With a Thai(!) VPN it worked. I then changed DNS network settings on the PC to Google DNS and successfully ordered some stuff. Your error message comes from Brave browser. As much as Iike it, for such purposes I use Chrome. iHerb also has the annoying feature of redirecting to th.iHerb.com whatever link you use. Maybe Brave interferes? Just tried it on the mobile (AIS) with Brave and it works OK. Redirects to th .iherb com. I bet on DNS problem. I doubt hacking.
  21. You were faster. Same thought here, yellow book plus pink card. I carry the pink card with me anyway. yb usually at home. If the poster has a blue Thai ID card he is a Thai citizen. Makes no sense combined. Fortunately KK DLT accepts yellow book plus pink card. No need to run for residence certificate. Another example of inconsistent administration: as I read they do not accept in Pattaya.
  22. Sorry for my confusion. But isn't it a requirement that the monthly transfers go to a Thai bank account in your name (solely)? And for proof you use statements from your Thai bank showing foreign transfers. Or is this thread about requiring statements from the Thai bank AND from your foreign/home country bank? I have shown Bangkok Bank statements printed, stamped and signed at the branch. I will not try some downloaded self printed statements.
