Sleep mode overnight? Sounds plausible at first but really: I hard shutdown even during the day. Sleep mode is nice for lunch break but over night? Likely your internet adapter is not fit for sleep mode. You could try to do a driver update. Else see above.

Khon Kaen: I can't remember being asked about the 800k when first coming with the 12 month statements. But really it's too long ago and my memory might fool me.

Can you get account statements online or at the branch? Ask for statement in Thai language. Either ask at the branch or put a picture of the description here. Similar with Kbank. The English wording sounds strange while statement im Thai is clearly.

If that conflict extends to a war affecting central and northern Isan we are f.cked up anyway. I don't give a thought about it. Isan for beginners is Udon Thani. Bigger expat community, shopping, bars and restaurants etc. Airport with frequent flights to Bangkok. No war in sight with Laos.

If the house is in Roi Et city you should prefer. Every provincial capital has more than Chum Phae for a foreigner. Living alone(!) in these places? That's not an easy choice. Do you have your own transport? In Chum Phae you are dead without. Both places are far from everywhere.

I have registered with my Thai address only. Luckily I had a fairly recent letter from my pension office. WISE accepts any government letter/document from your home country not older than ? months (forgotten). A letter from a Thai bank in English would be OK. Never had one though.
