Krungthai Bank now doing FATCA/CRS ?

Absolutely no indication on that. Some Immigration boss stated that they are not involved with tax affairs. (Current status, I don't participate in scaremongerin of the future) -

Not the first bank. Got it from Kasikorn. Bangkok Bank posted here. I filled the forms as good as possible (sometime in January). Not heard from them again I am not US citizen -

Driving licence and permit to drive
KhunBENQ replied to DonniePeverley's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Some unclear wording. Who is we? You >purchased< a >permit<? Meaning an international driving permit (IDP)? Sounds like you want to buy a car in your name AND insure in your name AND drive? Getting Thai driving license with home license and IDP is pretty straightforward at the Departement of Land Transport (DLT). Appropriate visa/permit to stay required (what you have?). Where do you live? -

A friend in Jomtien wants to change his German pension payments go to Kasikorn (Jomtien, Soi 2). Therefore he has to fill a form with his data/account nr. etc. Best available is a form in German/English/French. The data has to be confirmed by the bank. Does anyone have experience whether this will work? He is somewhat handicapped. So try to avoid unnecessary trips.

Try to explain to uneducated people what they are for. I was somewhat successful with the family. -
Why not overseas with iHerb? Since changing the logistics company their stuff recently arrived in 4(!) days to the door. All tax/customs included in the order price. Drawback: only three pieces per order. Free shipping from 40 USD upward. Combined this makes a bit of a math puzzle. I pay with a EUR credit card in USD (no fee for foreign currency). Once my cc was locked. I still think it was after paying in THB. Not sure though as you will not get an explanation.

Tanker Truck Overturns in Chaiyaphum, Killing Driver

These nightly transports are extra dangerous. Fallen asleep at 3:30 is so likely. The road condition in the area is perfect. A slight slope and a wide curve. (drove there on last Sunday, a big CPF hatchery there). -
Thailand's Summer Starts Next Week, Intense Heat Expected
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am OK with the "usual"/"normal" heat and not the exceptional heat of 2024. -
Who can tell but you? As I live here I always select money for long term stay in Thailand. All transfers come as international money transfer to Bangkok Bank next day. Recently I did a test to Kasikorn using personal expense. Arrived in seconds and labeled as money from abroad(too).

Very true at the "desk" level. These officers have to present the documents to the next level superior for signing (where "discretion" might start). A marriage extension goes to the regional commanders office. No officer wants the application he worked on to be denied. Corruption starts at higher levels.

Yes he is an idiot. But two months suspended for that? Can we expect that much worse (local) idiots are treated equally?? -
Came through open borders in 2016 as an unaccompanied minor. Asylum declined the year after. And then? Nothing. Typical Merkels heritage. The untypical: smart western style look, bodybuilding athlete, posing in front of his mini Cooper. Significant follower numbers on social media. Only very subtle indications that he never gave up on radical Islam. Is he what you call a ticking time bomb?
