Bread/rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jam (no orange😄), boiled egg (other styles ok), coffee and juice. The quality of bread is essential and hard to find even in Pattaya. Cheese being expensive so here you get the most basic stuff. Not on a German breakfast: sliced and roasted white bread although often seen for cost reasons, beans, grilled sausage, hash browns etc. For convenience I mostly go for English in Pattaya. German not many in central Pattaya. At home have proper handmade rye bread and rolls. Cold cuts and cheese from delikatessen shopping. Generally I think English breakfast is easier to do in Thailand except for the sausage that can vary widely in quality.

These anonymous votes are a plague from the beginning. Thumbs down as a primitive troll tool. Abolish completely or put names again. If you have to argue against come to the light and start a nice s.itstorm! Know your enemy.

You were faster. (although relaxed now) And Kasikorn is the best alternative. BB transfer became slow. How slow? I regularly do transfers for visa extension. Arrive next working day. Ok for me. Sure it's nice to the few seconds transfer to Kasikorn but is it worth the hassle to open an account? BB is the only Bank that was able to implement facial recognition. Kbank also limits use of mobile banking to 50k per transaction. Both BB and Kbank (still) have website/browser banking (PC).

@Paul Dee (wrote simultaneously to previous post 😄) Where do you live? There are serious agents that just do "holding hands". Help to collect documents, make appointment, drive you to the DLT and lead you through if you are afraid of language barrier. Any agent that tells you no visit to office, no physical test etc. is to be avoided. Illegal, fake stuff whatever. Agents in Pattaya e.g. will bring you to Rayong where it's not that crowded and no long waiting for appointment.

Poster wrote highways. Motorways? If you don't mind to be undertaken and cut in front at 150 km/h, yes then no problem. For the rest: stress free if no Thais on the road.

Travelling to Thailand- you need these 3 Apps
KhunBENQ replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
LINE is close to unknown in the west as well as BOLT. I thought this thread does not direct to expats/long term stay? ("travelling to Thailand") False on your part. -
A visit to a private eye clinic in her district won't cost a fortune. Then she knows the diagnosis. Could always be something different. Even my optician was optimistic to tell me that I don't have cataract. Easy diagnosis. Cataract operation is either expensive at private hospitals (50k up) or endless wait at public hospital. Private hospitals tend to raise cost with expensive lens types and even wanting to add laser treatment (no glasses needed). Can end at 150k for one eye (experience of a friend). Does she have diabetes?

Travelling to Thailand- you need these 3 Apps
KhunBENQ replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Thats one! (plus Instagram) 😁 Never heard of these must haves. LINE, Whatsapp, BOLT, (Google) Translator and/or good dictionary -
Plenty of Baht busses on the usual loop of 2nd rd and Beach rd between South Pattaya and Dolphin roundabout. Pattaya to Jomtien over the hill. Guess they still wait at the corner (South Pattaya) until the bus is crammed full. They almost push you in. On Soi Buakhao they are so frequent in the evening. An absolute plague creating most of the jams/gridlocks. On other routes? Can't tell but a Baht bus up and down Central(Klang) rarely seen. I am telling from memories past. Rarely use them. Scooter, walk, BOLT, own car (very rarely). Without the scooter I feel lost.

Report Irish Woman Jailed in Norway for Cannabis Smuggling from Thailand
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
She is likely in the top list of smugglers. 73 kg in two suitcases found in Berlin. The times of suitcases full of Viagra are over 🤣 -
Issues with PEA, PWA and Krungsri?
KhunBENQ replied to Ferdinando's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
PEA working OK during the last weeks. But I occasionally had similar error messages in the past. Trying some time later and it was back. Which area you live? Which internet provider do you have? Can you try to connect from some other WiFi in a mall or something? Try via mobile connection? -
Novice wants to increase disk space on C drive
KhunBENQ replied to giddyup's topic in IT and Computers
As I wrote, it's the movies/videos in 90% of cases. You know it, so why not move those files to other drive or better external media. And setup your Bitorrent SW to store elsewhere. Unnecessary to buy new hardware. -
Excellent channel for AI BS, fake of all kind. Undated disaster news etc. Rockets flying, but where and when. Some dumb nut recently forwarded a Whatsapp hoax (at least two years old) about RFK winning at the supreme court. He believed that. We are coming to a time where you can't believe anything from the internet.

Report Thailand's Grand Ambition: Hosting F1 with 40 Billion Baht Plan
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
As others said, this country needs so much development OUTSIDE of glitzy Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket. Get motorways finished for the public not for billionaire business. M6 still unfinished, more than a decade now. Big waste of money for that high tech circus. -
Can't write specifically about WISE and US. I send EUR since about 5 years. One case of unusual delay of 3 days or so. Otherwise absolutely flawless. I mostly do pension transfer once monthly sometime during first week of the month. Use it for extension based on monthly transfer in the second year now.

From the car park? is there more than one entrance from the car park? Otherwise straight to the walkway. Will check next time 😄 Turn right refers to the main entrance from Klang.
-
Come on! Turn right and use the other walkway. But in a safety aware country they would have cordoned off the area. Really looks strange.

Finance Foreign Nationals Face Account Bans in Bangkok Bank Crackdown
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good that BB could do it. Neither SCB nor Kasikorn, for Thai people only. Mobile banking limited to 50k per transaction. Kasikorn still has website banking. Have to check how it differs. SCB closed website. I closed accounts. -
Accident Man’s Toes Severed After Foot Caught in Motorcycle Chain
KhunBENQ replied to Georgealbert's topic in Chiang Mai News
Not a bad idea to have the chain encased like my cheap Honda Wave. I had some minor incidents by slipping from the kickstarter or hitting the stand. But that's it. -
Tourism Israel-Iran Conflict Puts Thai Tourism in Jeopardy
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The much hyped DTV obviously immature. You are still a tourist who can not open a bank account. Rules differ strongly between consulates. Those who meet conditions for LTR can go about everywhere in the world. Much competition. Why Thailand? Need to proof income like a 3 star general for retirement extension. And that for a country with glitzy facade and still 3rd world in many sectors.
