  1. Thanks for that. I replied on a German mate with this information.
  2. That's history. TG954 from March 20. Same detour. Russia and Ukraine are the big no-go. You should see Helsinki to Tokyo. About 4000 km detour.
  3. Where have you seen that? To which destination in Europe? I checked route to Oslo and they follow the usual path south of Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine ist the real block in the way. And TG does not fly to Moscow. May appear as some codeshare.
  4. Nothing wrong for me but not good enough for Kbank. I was asked for an ID card from my home country! I will really wrote to support and hope for clarification about this requirement.
  5. Poor Palm Beach Pete assures that he is not Jeffrey Epstein. A lot of braindead social media posters coming with J.E. is alive clips 😝 VID_20260319_202612_928.mp4
  6. Where do you know from what is behind this ID requirement? As others wrote they want an ADDRESS in your home country. It's not the first time I was asked for that. But years ago at Bangkok Bank I simple wrote the last address down. No proof. Nothing. Why they ask for ID card specifically? I have two Thai DLs, pink card, yellow book, tax id. Proof me wrong. Maybe I sit down in the afternoon and write to Kbank support. Happy if it's just an ID card without address (same like DLs in many countries).
  7. There may be countries with an address on the DL. Not for me. Not on DL, not on ID. And what is the Thai DL worth for in this context?
  8. For hard cases in Pattaya I have no other advice than asking an "agent".
  9. Finally! I had opened a thread about this nonsense with little response. Exact same for me in Pattaya Central. I have an account with them since 2009. I live here since 15 years. Yellow book/pink card, tax id... Last November they talked me into opening some fund (low risk). Stupid I was not insisting on a fixed deposit! In February I want to open a fixed deposit. Need ID card??!! New policy. I am so fed up with these unworldly ignorants who can't believe that a foreigner lives here and has no "home country address". My ID card does not show any address. So ignorant BS anyway. And other example: a German who checked out from Germany and lives here can NOT get a new ID card ("Personalausweis") which shows an address. I have an aversion now to enter any Thai bank branch. Otherwise I would have tried at Krungsri where I have a savings account.
  10. Yes and Emirates is flying with the risk of a mid air turn around or late cancellation. Don't expect them to cancel early. Yesterday's flight from Dubai to Bangkok was perfectly in time (10 min ahead). Evening flight BKK to DXB also in time.
  11. Old thread about a current problem. For the fearless: Emirates flies. A little chance of a mid air turnaround though 😁 DXB BKK in time yesterday. Recently 25 passengers on an A380 from Paris to Dubai. Want some fear mongering? Have you read about the hostilities between Pakistan and Afghanistan? Pakis air attack on Kabul. Look at the map what an escalation could mean.
  12. If SIL belongs to the poor peasants she could try BAAC. The agricultural bank.
  13. What AI says. There was some plan for 2000 minimum. Quickly revoked.

Just come back from district town (Khon Kaen province). Many closed Diesel pumps, 95 also short. 91 and E20 available.

Just checked and my Toyota of 2024 is certified for 91, 95 and E20. Good to know.
  16. I don't believe a word. Reads like: I dose off, saw the trailer much too late, slammed the breaks and then off we go. 4 AM adds to the general risk of vans doing "charter"/tours. About the hardest time to stay awake.
  17. If measures not enforced, yes. Burning has gone down here but still not eradicated. I have driven my older Mazda to 165000 km, mostly on E20. New Toyota, they are somewhat pushing for Gasohol 95. E20 in small print. "Would run, but...". Years ago "flex fuel" cars and E85 were a hot topic. Seems cooled down and price advantage overall is lost.
  18. Will he need to show up at immigration with the (regular) police report?
  19. The vans start near the gas station on Sukhumvit just north of the South Pattaya rd. T-junction. Two of the vans in the center of the street view image.
  20. This picture is from an FB post of 2023. Company doing mini van from Pattaya to Talat Rong Kluea (Kloeu). That's the big market at the border in Aranyaprathet. They claim to do a trip every 40 minutes from 4 AM to 5 PM. It's bus line no 385. Don't be confused by the hilarious transcript on the buses (Cholburi, Taladrongglior )
  21. Indeed many go northeast on HW 331 / 304. Not exactly going through Sakaeo (city). But in Kabinburi you could change east to Sakaeo (HW 33). There is a shorter route going from 331 east: HW 359. Khao Hinson interchange. As I only know from driving in the car I have no clue about a bus on HW 359.
  22. Only sad that he did not make it past 72 years. Just three years ahead of me 🙄
  23. Like it or not but minivan services from Pattaya are the fastest option. Pattaya to Aranyaphratet / Poipet is (was) the number one border run route. Bet they have a stop at Sakeo. But: with the current crisis at the Cambodian border (still closed) there might be restrictions. Can't help any further. Visa agencies in Pattaya should know best.
