Maximum.amount to withdraw with foreign card
Today 30k at a Krungsri ATM. As usual 250 Baht fee. "Without conversion" option in the lower left. Same VISA exchange rate like yesterday. When will it change? As there is no additional fee from my credit card the damage in comparison to transfer is bearable. For my VISA the precise result of the transaction can be checked ahead: https://www.visa.co.th/en_TH/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html Edit 0 for no cc transaction fee.

Quoting other posters
Sound like using on the (Android) mobile in a browser. Same to me. Quoting can become a pain. Often have problems to mark and quote parts of a post. "red dot" and quote interfere. No such problem on the PC.

Retirement Extension renewal. Agent prices Pattaya
That includes the regular fee of 1900 Baht? If I had the misfortune having to deal with Jomtien I would sure spend that money.

Maximum.amount to withdraw with foreign card
Yes. After years I used my ViSA cc at a Bangkok Bank ATM today (15 March 2026). Requested 25000 Baht. Selected "without conversion" (hidden in lower right). Got 25000 in hand. 25250 charged. Home country bank deducted 690 EUR with a rate of 1 EUR = 36.5576 THB. Overall 36.23 Not great with today's currency market rate of 37.0x. Normally I don't use the cc for such purpose. But the latest announcement of changes at WISE makes me nervous. BTW: the SCB ATM would neither give me 30k nor 25k although the machine is technically capable.

Can some one tell me the new regulation about renewing a driver licens
You have a Non-O visa then? Biggest effort as usual is a proof of residence. Guess you need from immigration. Which office? (DLT and immigration)

McDonald’s Beef Patties in Thailand, Any Good?
Have you seen the video clip of the McDonalds CEO "tasting" the "Big Arch" burger? The net is full of it. He is nibbling on the thing (can't call it a bite) and his facial expression is all but enthusiastic. People doubt he eats that stuff. Must be more than 20 years that I visited one of those fast food places.

Would still be cheap. Mate told me he pays 800 Baht (other agent). Kind of crazy to me but each to his own.

Air India Express Plane Incident Shuts Phuket Runway
? You want to stay that this plane has departed today to Bangkok. Empty? For repair? It's not shown as a regular flight.

Upcoming changes to Wise operations in Thailand
Good observation. Just downloaded and see the same. The statements look confusing BTW

Swedish bank notes now useless abroad
Quite sure as no physical Nordish cash involved.

Air India Express Plane Incident Shuts Phuket Runway
The video shows that the plane first hit runway with the main gear extremely hard and then did a jump and ditched with the front gear. From the passenger video you can hear and see two hard hits. Does not look like any difficult winds? If there is no exceptional technical problem it's simply an unfit pilot. Forgot / too late flare. Sinking much too fast.

Air India Express Plane Incident Shuts Phuket Runway
Quax the crash pilot paralyzed an already overcrowded airport. Would love to see pictures of the chaos at the airport.

Long haul flights are expensive now
The crisis is a chance to make big money for the unaffected airlines. Lufthansa group is adding flights to Asia. Good chance to win back customers who had chosen mideast airlines in the past. A mate was rebooked to KLM on the 14th. Almost two weeks after his planned return with Emirates.

Anyone got the STM2 template used by Jomtien Immigration?
Found the problem. It's simply unusable as a mobile website. Can't see the links on the right side, no slider... Switch to desktop website and it is visible. Why Jomtien needs an extra favor is a different thing. TiT.

Transfer money from Germany to Thailand - WU, Wise or Remitly?
Do you an address in Germany as proof of residence or Thailand address "only"? Makes a big difference in giving advice regarding registering. In the past I would have said WISE is best and cheapest. But they obviously plan changes in May which might render it useless for my purpose (proof of money transfer for immigration).

Anyone got the STM2 template used by Jomtien Immigration?
Just noticed that the download site of Immigration Division 1 doesn't provide any usable download. All "dead". Is it only me? (mobile browser on Android). That site is referred to in the pinned topic:

Six Injured After Pickup Towing Boat Crashes in Patong
So similar to Jomtien where they tow huge speed boats with primitive old tractors from the beach through boonkan Guess the answer. Speeding through narrow roads. Same in Jomtien (Pattaya) just that they use primitive old tractors without any body cover. Towing such heavy boat with a pickup (!) is an other "quality".

Thieves Raid Foreigner’s Pattaya Home for 6.5M Baht Watches
That leaves you speechless. That those pawn shops buy any stolen mobile etc. is no secret. But this is a new dimension. In other countries they would push the alarm button if some tattooed walk-in in shorts and shirt comes with a PP that is considered real.

Swedish bank notes now useless abroad
Bumping this old thread just to make clear (unchanged): it's close to impossible to change CASH from Denmark, Norway or Sweden in Thailand and maybe other countries! A few change for miserable rates. Commercial banks don't show rates and don't accept such cash. It does not affect cashless money transfer by SWIFT, WISE etc. So not really a problem for expats/pensioners? More likely for tourists.

Money exchange in Roi et?
https://www.scb.co.th/en/personal-banking/foreign-exchange-rates The rates for buying cash are last column to the right. No rate. Same for Danish and Norwegian.
