Pickup Truck Driver Falls Asleep, Crashes into 2 Motorcycles, Leaving 1 Dead & 1 Injured
I just wanted to comment on that. Beat me all, but have you noticed the speed that the biker go on this small populated road? A bit slower and looking forward could have given them a chance. If not avoiding an accident totally but not being decapited. The third bike rider is the other fallen asleep? And being the winner on max speed? Stunning.

Banking service???????
Anonymous cash deposits are no more allowed since quite a while. No card no fun. Or follow other advice given above. A person with a Thai ID card can deposit cash to your account.

Internet connection
A SIM with a one month package does not cost a fortune. I suggest to start trial with AIS. I once had a DTAC one year SIM. On the road it had more outages than the AIS (GOMO) that I have now. To the OP: It sounds like the SIM is used stationery at home? In a SIM router or in the mobile phone? A SIM router with antenna and we'll placed can make a difference.

Big bike forced off road by car on Bangkok highway - video
Attempted suicide. Just not enough wheels and weight on the opponent.

Big bike forced off road by car on Bangkok highway - video
Indeed. The risky forbidden manouver of the bike rider didn't cost him his life. So he should just stay quiet. A proper investigation would not be in his favor and he would have to carry his cost alone. The car driver did a careless lane jump to win some meters and will also take his own cost. But in this country you need a 360 degrees view to notice all the gamblers.

Man Shot Dead in Confrontation with Local Youths in Udon Thani
Can't wait for the terrifying firecracker hooliganism on the 17th next week. Lawless as usual they start like two weeks ahead. Should I get me a gun, already have a stick 🙄 Not too surprised that it escalated this way.

Pickup Truck Loses Control in Rain, Crashes into Restaurant & Motorbikes: Na Jomtien
As usual the video is quite poor. So hard to decide why the lane becomes dark after he undertakes. A big puddle which would support the idea of hydroplaning combined with senseless speeding.

Is it bad for our mental health to consume too much news? Is life in ignorance better?
Too much news is bad for mental health. I recently started a "no news" after dinner practice. That includes forums. Saying that, I think that forums and "social media" are far more dangerous. In the evening I only consume entertaining/funny stuff. When a mate living in Thailand(!) bombards me with bad news from back home I mute him. There are exactly two news from home country that I follow: pension (rise) and value of the Euro.

Thailand prioritizes safety and facilitates travel during long holiday Oct 12-14
Nawamindra Maharaj Day Had to think twice. Translates for the clueless foreigner as: King Bhumipol remembrance day. Died on October 13, 2016. No disrespect but here there is no indication for a big travel home event. Will the 13th be alcohol ban?

Money changers in Pattaya
Just played with their exchange rate site. And I am astonished that booths in Soi 13 and 14 offer 2 Satang (0.02) more than others for USD. Maybe due to the competitor in Soi13/2 "Damini". Damini usually offers a up to 5 satang more than TT. Only worth an extra walk/ride for real big amounts.

Money changers in Pattaya
TT has now even a booth at the basement of Central on the beach. Open from 10:30 or 11 AM. Sounds like you want to pay the Baht to an SCB account. And of course SCB has a micro branch at Central. Passport required to pay cash to account (or ATM card at the machine).

What's makes me sick: this criminal will likely be on the road again. In civilized countries he would be locked behind bars

Bangkok Bank not Recieved Funds From Wise.
Last transfer to Bangkok Bank was Nov 1 early morning. Arrived in the afternoon same day. In four years or do there were not more than 2 anomalies/delay. I transfer Euro from the WISE account. Transferring from German bank to WISE is a different story. Friday to Monday... At least one working day. Have you seen when the money arrived at WISE?

Drunk Crashes Into Motorcycle, Killing Two 14-Year-Old Girls in Tragic Wrong-Way Collision
Your ignorance is hard to beat. Some unrelated comments about delivery riders and repeating the nonsense about the girls riding wrong way. THEY WERE NOT! Post above yours too much to read?

Drunk Crashes Into Motorcycle, Killing Two 14-Year-Old Girls in Tragic Wrong-Way Collision
And it's a divided(!) highway (3215). So all lanes in the photo go one direction. Bet this drunk scum turned into the road wrong way and the poor kids were the unlucky first. Otherwise it could have been a truck to truck collision. 119 mg (1.19 per mille). There is absolutely no need to blame the victims!
