Such a shame - My yearly trip to Calif. Cities to avoid
KhunBENQ replied to EVENKEEL's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
Good to read from first hand. I sometimes stumble upon videos showing sidewalks or greens filled with tents and shacks of homeless people in misc US cities. Fentanyl zombies staggering. Horrible. It's ages (mid 90s) that I was in California and the world looked different. -
Better. But I switched to use cardless withdrawal using mobile banking whenever possible.

The murderer is her Turkish ex boyfriend and business partner. She lived in constant fear of him after she wanted to separate. The Ex didn't want to accept the separation and insisted on another meeting. She was accompanied by another man who stood in the distance and could not intervene in time. The Ex has likely fled to Turkey. (source is a Berlin tabloid)

And not only SCB or Krungthai. There is massive cost cutting going on nationwide. Removing ATMs, closing micro branches, closing full service branches. Bangkok Bank closed the micro branche at our district, closed at BigC Udon, etc.etc. Just look at Kasikorn Pattaya. 2009 opened account at Royal Garden. Gone. Move to Avenue. Gone. Move to Central. South Pattaya branch near Tukcom closed. Branch on Soi Buakhao is now a beer bar complex.

Let him look like half Korean or Japanese. The girls in GoGos and bars will jump on him, drag him in. A group of Koreans or Japanese entering a Gogo? You can call check bin and flee. But yes, the legal age of 20 would apply to foreigners too. I don't know how often one got in trouble about this. Completely different story for Thai men or Indian. Most girls will hide under the table.

As far as I understood there were no actual witnesses of the murdering. It happened close to her apartment about 3 km from her restaurant. The murderer might have ambushed her. There is still no trace of the murderer. Within the Thai community in Berlin all the things happen that you find here. Money lending/loan sharks, illegal gambling, losing a fortune at the legal Casino and of course all things "love". The warning from the Embassy might well indicate that Thais should look around/save their back. The murderer might be from the community.

It's so simple. Why need a car! service? Best he needs is a taxi to the Thai border checkpoint. Short walk, pass Thai Immigration, pay 30 Baht for the bus that takes you over the bridge. As a US citizen he will have to apply for a visa on arrival at the Lao checkpoint. Cost some 40? USD. Others will have the details. I am visa exempt, did the border run in July 22. Drove by car to the checkpoint. He will get 30 days on return.

https://www.cm-alliance.com/cybersecurity-blog/5-reasons-why-you-should-not-use-free-vpns I have a proper paid VPN and know why. Saving 2 to 3 Dollars a month? I wouldn't even touch sites like the above with a 10 foot pole.

Phuket braces for rain havoc: Urgent weather alert signals flood risk
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Last week they made an alarm for northern Isaan along Mekong. Hardly some sprinkle. International weather forecast centers show nothing dramatic for Phuket for the coming days. 5 to 15 mm is far from flood risk. Check again next week. -
Is Wise App A Higher Commission?
KhunBENQ replied to Neeranam's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
@Finlaco Very good contribution. Doesn't sound like I would try Currency Fair. XE is interesting to me as they seem to give the same result even for paying from credit card which is very convenient. WISE has a hefty extra fee for credit card.
