No conclusion about decentralization after police reform committee’s meeting

BANGKOK, 5 September 2017 (NNT) – The Chairman of the National Reform Committee on Judicial Administration disclosed that the police reform committee’s meeting did not reach a conclusion about the decentralization of the Royal Thai Police.

Gen. Boonsang Niampradit, Chairman of the National Reform Committee on Judicial Administration (police), disclosed that the National Reform Committee on Judicial Administration’s meeting had convened on the decentralization of the Royal Thai Police, but the committe did not reached a conclusion, citing difference in opinions among the committee members. The chairman said the issue had to be considered carefully.

He has confirmed that the police are ready for change and the appointment of senior police officers is still within the authority of the Royal Thai Police Commissioner General.

He stressed that the public will be impressed by the police’s service after the police reform, and adds that the reformation on decentralizing the Royal Thai Police will be completed within the time frame.

Police Reform Committee Member Seree Suwanphanont said that he believed the public should take part in the setting the police's role on the local level, from the central command to local units in order to assure efficiency in the work of the law enforcement officers, as the public themselves are the ones who will be directly affected.

He said that the committee is in the middle of the discussion to draw a conclusion on the matter and is hoping for more facts and information in order to successful pursue an effective reformation.

Here's a suggestion: why don't you stop messing around and get serious - this committee is a joke

I propose "The National Monitoring Committee on The National Reform Committee on Judicial Administration" :coffee1:

That is actually a conclusion. Defer, delay, table decentralization as the top ranks lose control of what is essentially a pyramid scheme for extracting wealth and political control should a coup evolve.
