Positive drug test for Phang Nga gang-rape case suspects

TWO SUSPECTS in the alleged gang rape of a schoolgirl in Phang Nga have tested positive to drugs in urine tests. The two suspects are among the first three men named by the young victim.

 

The alleged gang rape made headlines earlier this month after the girl spoke out about her ordeal. Based on her testimonies, more than 40 men in sexually assaulting her. 

 

The rapes reportedly lasted between May and December last year at the Ban Koh Raed in Phang Nga’s Takua Thung district. 

 

Arrest warrants have already been issued for eight |suspects. 

 

Phang Nga’s police chief Pol Maj-General Boontawee Toraksa said yesterday that police were in the process of gathering more evidence to identify all culprits.

 

“As for the eight suspects in detention, we have rejected their bail,” he said.

Is there any relation between the alleged rapes months ago and the positive drug test today?

Or is it just something to hit two alleged culprits with in case nothing might be proven?

Let's wait to see if the 'Cops' can keep up this 'good work'.......... I will be surprised although Happy for the girl......... and Happy for those guys 'paying the price for it'................

5 Men Held In Phang Nga Gang Rape Case

Five suspects in the rape case of a 14-year-old are led out of Khokkhoi Police Station Saturday.

 

PHANG NGA — Five suspects accused of participating in serial gang rapes of a teen girl in the southern province of Phang Nga were behind bars Monday as police said some of her attackers may have paid to participate.

 

The five men were arrested Saturday after being named in 11 warrants as suspects in a 14-year-old girl’s allegations that 40 men from her community, Ko Rad, sexually assaulted her on repeated occasions last year. Community elders have responded by denouncing the girl as a liar.

I thought 5 were arrested yesterday, or may be the day before, and 4 more the next day. Sounds like some have escaped justice with only 5 now in custody.

50% female... so 90 males

take out the male kids... now we're down to what... 50 or 60 males (less?)

what chance would there be that some of the community elders also participated?

& people are saying that it's because it's a Muslim village - Maybe true but they are Thai

Truly sad and hope the girls recovers from the shock and get judgement for raping her. Poor kid.

40 of 90 or so males,  and so many saying that the girl is lying. These Muslim Thais are

a disgusting lot.  I hope all 40 guys go to jail and then are castrated by the population

there.
