Not as bad as you think. We ran a bar for almost 13 years and in that time I had one gun incident and a couple of knife incidents. No one hurt except for the gun owner who was knocked unconscious be one of the customers with a bar stool. This was the only time we had anything to do with the police in all that time.

 

That said, the only bikers I had dealings with were locals, never any trouble from them.

I used to live near the Vice President (Is that what they call them?) of the Hell's Angels back in Europe. He was actually a nice guy, who had a proper day job, but would come home and and help many elderly people around the neighborhood. and was well liked by the locals.

 

When he put his colours on, he was completely different and was feared among rival gangs.

 

One day, I was sitting in a snack bar and three members of the Bandidos walked in. I wasn't really paying much attention as I had often seen them around. Anyway, I saw a skinny young man standing at the bar with a young baby in his arms. I heard raised voices and saw the guy hand over the baby to the waitress behind the counter. He picked up his glass of coke and went outside, followed by the three Bandidos guys. I decided it was time to leave but before I knew what was happening the young guy placed the glass on the floor and flew up and smashed the bandidos guy nose straight into his face. He fell down crying like a baby shouting "Kill him , Kill him.." The next thing I know was that the police had arrived.

 

Yes, these guys are tough, especially when fighting rivals and other criminals. They should be rounded up and deported before they gain too much control and we really see turf wars break out.

Personally i try to stay out of all fights.. suppose i get into a fight and knock someone down.. and he hits his head and dies... stuff like that goes through my mind. I think of all the things that can go wrong and if they do your life is messed up. That is why i try to avoid fights at all cost.
