Phuket beach dog bitten, not shot, says Soi Dog expert

PHUKET:-- A beach dog residing on Surin Beach that was initially believed to have been shot multiple times today (Sept 22) is now believed to have been attacked by another dog, said an expert at Soi Dog Foundation (SDF).

 

DF rescue staff recovered the dog from Surin Beach after a local resident and lifeguards reported the injured dog to them at about midday.

 

The wounds on the dog were not deep and resembled tooth marks, an expert at the Soi Dog Foundation who asked to be named only as “Khun Beer”, told The Phuket News this afternoon.

Bitten or shot says alot for those in charge, if they cannot tell the difference, no wonder there are two Burmese in jail for koh tao murders. What else would you expect for this place.

The soi dog situation is a real problem in this country that needs to be addressed. It is not good for the dogs and not good for the people.

It was the life guards who thought it was shot, not sure what they've got to do with the Burmese in jail...

Might be the only way left to clean beaches of soi dogs without landing in prison; buy some large size aggressive dogs and train them to hunt down and fight other dogs. Then take them to the beach in a pack and let them go wild while keeping people at a safe distance.

 

If your dog kills another dog you are only liable for the purchase price of that dog to be paid to the owner. For soi dogs that would be zero baht payable to nobody.

 

Do make sure they kill the dog otherwise you need to pay the hospital costs. 

 

And whoever tries to get your dog off the soi dog can be sued for animal cruelty (as they will hit your dog).

Naah, that would be turned into a sport, them people would bet on winners/losers, then resturaunts would start serving dog meat openly,   hmmmm  maybe that will work!!!

Soi  Dog   "Expert"  ?  Yeah.  Have  one  around  here. Insists  on  dumping  copious  amounts  of  cheap   dog  biscuits  outside  specific  locations  in the  pouring  rain  ! Result?  Washed  away  or  driven over  and  embedded  in the  mud ! 

Purpose? 

Publicity.

Benefit?

Publicity.(  and   income  derived  from  sucker  donors ).
