Eye exam and first pair of glasses in Jomtien.

Featured Replies

I would like to know if anyone has any recommendations for a shop in Jomtien. Or Thepprasit Road. I would rather not make the trip to Pattaya. I have recommendations for Patts.

If you have a valid recommendation in Pattaya would highly advise going there as most eye care shops are very much sales shops and overpriced in Thailand.  Thailand has only recently started to have a formal vision exam profession below ophthalmologist.  A hospital visit to a qualified ophthalmologist is probably the best choice for a first glasses situation without a good recommendation for an experienced professional.

Two solid Pattaya recommendations repeatedly keep coming up on recent, similar threads.

First Optic, behind Tukcom on Pattaya Tai.

Euro Optic behind Royal Garden/Avani on Second Road.

That's exactly what I have heard also.

make sure you ask for the PD , pupil distance ,

often they do not give you that on your check-up and you need it to order glasses on-line
