Furniture Repair

Featured Replies

My dog chewed a spindle on a wooden bed and it needs to be replaced with a lathe turned copy. The headboard has an identical spindle that can be used as a template. Does anyone know of a shop (and location, please) that does this kind of work in the Pattaya area? Thanks for any help.

Oops....there are a few furniture makers along the Thepprasit road that should be able to get it done or point you in the right direction.

If it was me I would just cut  the pointy bit off   sand down and re varnish.... after giving the dog a very stern talking to :shock1:

You might also check in the wood shop on North Road almost opposite to the bus station. They have all kinds of ornate turned and carved hardwood pieces.

Thanks for both replies. I considered cutting off the top and sanding it down, and may go that route if I cannot find someone to restore it to original condition. I'll take the picture that I posted and make the rounds on Thepprasit Rd and then head to P. Nua. The shop that I bought the bed, which sold lovely furniture, has unfortunately closed.
