Flu Season EARLY! Place to Get Updated Shot

Featured Replies

Looks like the flu shot has come early!

I usually get it every year cheaply at Red Cross on Rama 4, but:

1) They usually only offer the "trivalent" (protection against only 3 flu strains) instead of the "quadrivalent" (against 4 flu strains), and
2) Last year they got their new updated batch by around October, I dunno if going there now will give me the updated shot.

What hospital (preferably the less expensive ones) do you recommend for the latest updated quadrivalent shot?

...And not last year's shot (which I already got)?

WHO website says the recommended strains, but not the brands; and I dunno how to explain this to Thai hospital staff, especially over the phone

UPDATE: This year Red Cross DOES have the updated quadrivalent, got it today, 550 baht. Get it before flu strikes... (suddenly lotsa people coughing and sneezing in the BTS and everywhere)

Sorry where exactly on Rama IV ?  Were there  lines/cues ?   Maybe get there when they 1st open?

is that that strange mirrored square building  where "the blood center" is ?

No queue when I went. Its entrance is near Chamchuri Square (mall). Queen Saovabha building. You can Google Queen Saovabha Travel Clinic

is that the same building where the snake farm is?  i think so , not the "blood center" around the corner
