Our picture today shows a Thai lady council assistant pointing at her car after someone threw acid over it.

She told the police in Nakorn Sri Thammarat in Thailand's south the attack happened while she was at a meeting.

She is smiling but she is not happy.

Sukhita Srisuwan, 50, who works at the local government offices in Thung Yai district, said it was a result of problems at work.

Police are investigating.

Acid attacks happening here now, I hope it is not a regular accurance.

Jealous persons attacking a new(ish) car. Quite common along with key scratching and gouging with shopping trolleys in some areas.

That appears to be a warning, next time it will be in her face.

Government work... it's not what it used to be.

This smile makes me feel uneasy. I just can't get it, when I am peed off I look angry. Will never be able to get Thai citizenship.

I think using acid has more sinister undertones than simple vandalism. The religion of peace in action perhaps

Looks more like a 'look what I did, your next' smile to me.
