BANGKOK, 13th October 2017 (NNT) - The joint operations center for the royal funeral has asked members of the public to use the provided shuttle service to attend the rehearsal of the royal cremation procession.

The joint operations center has announced details of its latest meeting, which discussed the planned rehearsals of the royal cremation procession, for the royal funeral of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The rehearsals are scheduled on October 15 and 21.

The center advised that the rehearsals on both days will be full scale and identical to what will take place on October 26.

It suggested members of the public, who wish to witness the rehearsal, get on the shuttle service provided for them in order to avoid causing further traffic congestion on routes leading to Sanam Luang.

For those traveling from the North and the Northeast, the service will be available at Future Park Rangsit shopping mall, Muang Thong Thani and the Government Complex - Chaengwattana, according to the joint operations center.

It added that travelers from the East can board the shuttles at Mega Banga shopping complex and Bitec Bangna, while those from the West can go to CentralPlaza WestGate, CentralPlaza Salaya and Phutthamonthon.

For people, who come from the South, the shuttle service point will be at CentralPlaza Rama II.

The center reports that there will be five drop-off points for the shuttle service, including the Nang Loeng Horse Racecourse, Ban Manangkhasila, Visutkasat intersection, Bangkok Flower Market (Pak Klong Talad) and Arun Amarin Intersection, from which points passengers will have to proceed on foot to the area where the rehearsal is taking place.
