Smart for everyone to be diligent during probably one of the largest gatherings of people in the nation..

The dope and the weapons they recovered (regardless of how many) might have saved no telling how many future lives.. So cudos

Wow 640 rounds, most people I know keep a at least couple of thousand on hand.

I used to keep 1,000 rounds for each gun I owned, and enough powder, primers and lead to reload each round.

I had about 7 guns.

Well this could slow some other problematic activities as well?

You got it right there, this was not a designed to increase security during the event, but preventive measures for what is likely to happen afterwards

Or increase it. I just wonder how many of those weapons (illegal or not) were for legitimate protection?

What the police/army don't want now is for a spate of executions by the people of organizations they didn't take the weapons off.

If the weapons were belonging to or in possession of those involved in the drugs busts, disregard the above thought.
