I have an extension of stay valid until December 1, 2017. I have a multi rentry permit.

I leave BKK for USA in November returning to BKK November 30,2017 at 11:45 pm.

I plan on getting a renewal of my extension to stay next week until December 1, 2018. Do I also have to get another reentry permit or will my reentry permit good until December 1,2017  be good enough to not void my renewal of my extension of stay good until December 1, 2018?

Thank yiu.

You will need to get to get a new re-entry permit that will expire in December of 2018.

If you used the one you have now it would allow allow you an entry that would only be valid until December 2017 which would void out your new extension.

I was told by Phuket Immigration yesterday that there is a new requirement for all foreigners except those on tourist visas to report to Immigration within 24 hours  of arrival with residence details .

Does anyone have more information , is it possible to do this online ?

Only Suratthani immigration does TM30 reports online.

Hotels, pretty much everywhere, have accounts that allow them to do TM30 reports online. If you have a friend in immigration, there is nothing to prevent them setting up an account for you, if you can make a good case (for instance, if you frequently have house guests, and live far from the immigration office). For most people, the effort of establishing the account for TM30 notifications does not justify the effort involved.

Suratthani wants everyone to do it online, took me five min to set up an account.
