Getting a Copy of my medical record

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need a copy of some tests and the results I did last week at a Bkk chain hospital.

I don't need all my records just the one for which they did extensive tests.

1. Can I get them?

2. How much does it cost?
3. How long can I expect to wait?

Much obliged.

1. Yes, absolutely but will have to go in person with your passport as ID.

2. Free in some hospitals, nominal cost in others (usually)

3. Can usually do on the spot. If you email or call ahead it may save time.

Expect specific set of test results will be free and immediate - you normally always receive copies of test results from doctor as they review them with you (although they sometimes do not make it clear and just place on desk for you to pick up if you want).  Full medical records would normally require passport/written request and a wait to have copies made which they might charge for.
