Office\work chair. Where to buy?

Featured Replies

Anybody know where I can get an office\work chair?

I'm only in Pattaya for a few weeks, so I'll be discarding it when leaving, so I'd rather keep it cheap.

Thanks

All the big stores like Index and HomePro do them. Also the big supermarkets usually have something. Also the various small Thai furniture shops that you find on Tai and 3rd road: they often have them wrapped up with cling film on the street.

Dont feel bad about throwing it away as unless you spend in excess of 10,000B it will probably fall apart after a few months anyway. Notably the fake leatherette coverings peel off after very little time.

The only decent one I've ever had was a 2,500B fabric covered one from Ikea. The plastic arms on that broke after about 6 months due entirely to poor design. No warranty of course as this is Thailand. Ikea withdrew the model entirely a few weeks later. So I got a local metalwork shop to make two metal plates for 300B that I fitted behind the broken arms and the chair has been fine for two years since.

B2S at Central Festival.  I think I paid around 5000 baht and it's nicer than anything I saw at Index, Big C, Ikea, etc.

If it's really just for a few weeks, I would go with the BigC models at 700-900 baht that are not bad at all for their price!
