LG Garantee small victory

Featured Replies

Anyone else had a guarantee issue here ? I bought a new LG 65 inch TV and sound bar in December 2016 from Lazada the sound bar packed up after 6 months and I took it to the Chiang Mai LG service they repaired it got it back 10 days later no problem since.

On Sunday the magic remote supplied with the TV gave up no amount of fiddling would revive it so again took it back to the service centre they first told me no repair can be made to it. I quickly pointed to the 1 year guarantee they followed up with no guarantee on remote followed by 6 months guarantee on remote If you want a new one you have to buy one 1099 baht .

Given no choice I purchased it seething with just about controlled rage  I set about recovering my 1099 baht as soon as I got home I got the Mrs to call the head office in Bangkok while simultaneously using their web chat in English .

Result got my money back from a now seething service assistant karma as he now has to fill out a ton of paper work.

So the moral here is don't take no for an answer even from the Mrs who said it can't be done and a guarantee is what it says on the tin not a selective Thai variety buy a new one.:partytime2:
