Joint operations between Thai authorities and FBI operatives in Thailand have seen 13 arrests made in September and October.

This brings to 58 cases of those arrested over the last 2/3 years. Most of the pedophiles and criminals preying on children are Thai, American and British.

Thailand has been praised by the FBI for their work with the US authorities.

The latest arrests were announced at Thai Police HQ yesterday as the head of TICAC - Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children - chaired a press briefing with FBI colleagues.

Thammasak Wicharaya said that 13 cases were cleared up from September 7th to October 14th. Nine Thais were arrested and four US nationals.

Six of the cases are believed to concern the sharing of indecent images of children, two involved molestation, four were warrants issued in the US and one was a person sent back to Thailand to face charges.

FBI operative in Thailand John Shekowski (name transliterated from Thai) praised the Thais for their work saying that Thailand was moving up the league table of countries providing valuable help to the US in eradicating the scourge of people preying on children through the internet.

Some 57 arrests have been made in 58 cases in the 2015-2017 period. These were mostly Thai people but also US nationals and British in second and third places respectively.

Crimes included the sharing of indecent images, molestation and human trafficking.

Also 125 other cases are being investigated and have yet to be prosecuted due to lack of evidence.

If the FBI are working with the Thais again, I hope this time round their modus operandi is a little more legitimate. When FBI agent Chris Cantrell was in charge, they worked with and paid a dubious, legally non existent charity called ATCC, that deliberately and intentionally sent young children out, from a supposed sanctuary, to offer sex to foreigners so they could then report back and generate arrests.

That is entrapment would not be done in many countries. I am in 2 minds about this one it catches pedo's the other its dangerous sliding scale to allow operations like that.

who do you report suspected offenders to? I'd like to report my brother in law.

If you are serious, it would depend on where the alleged offence took place.

If you are in jest, it is in poor taste

Some of that entrapment is disgusting to say the least.....

Good, now it's time to clean up the domestic scum of your own society, and there are 100 times as much as those so called International cases.....

Good work. But I thought that the FBI 's juridiction was limited to the USA only....

It is. These would be cases where the US is asking Thailand to extradite those whose crimes fall under that jurisdiction.

You should have evidence or you could get yourself in a lot of trouble.

Pretty common in the UK by private individuals posing as children on the Net. It's controversial and the police aren't happy about it, but it results in convictions.

They generally would be sending the kids to suspected kiddy diddlers (pedophiles). If you are not a kiddy diddler and the FBI sent some kid to you, tell the kid to buzz off. If you however have your way with the kid, it's not entrapment. You will be a full time kiddy diddler (pedo).

What entrapment? Violating a minor is pedophilia even if they are sent by the FBI. Surely the FBI don't help someone to take off their pants.

It's morally wrong for starters. It's called Child Endangerment and it's a crime, as is the entrapment. What if the kid ends up hurt or dead? Would you still think it's okay to do it then? The FBI or any other law force suspects someone of committing crime, they should investigate within the law, but should not have children deliberately abused in the process. The whole idea is to protect kids and stop this filth, not enable it.

I edit this to note that at the start I mentioned the FBI knowingly assist is sending kids out to be abused. The whole thing collapsed when the cops, getting paid by the arrest, got greedy and would tell the kid to make stuff up if he came back empty handed. A lot of innocent people got screwed very badly in the process.

And a bunch of kids in a "safe environment" got molested.

The number of pedophiles is truly astounding and these are the ones that got caught. What about those that have not been caught? Thailand is full of this scum. They must work harder to find these perverts and lock them up.

Small price to pay to catch scum that is a pedophile. They must use every method available to catch the scum of the earth. If the pedo hurts the kid, that is just more time behind bars.

We do have the evidence and the Police in the UK hauled him in years ago but did not charge him.

Quite common entrapment practice in certain states in the USA where prostitution is illegal and Vice Squad undercover female officers, posing as prostitutes, trap potential customers.

Well why didn't they charge him?

20 years ago the weight of evidence needed to be higher, since then more evidence has come to light and one of his victims killed themselves, blaming the abuse. He fled the UK and moved abroad, he currently is in Thailand and we are certain his interest in (very) young children has not diminished.

If you think he is now "wanted" in the UK, or if you have evidence that he has committed crimes there, you could contact Crimestoppers ... https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give-information-online/

If you have information about his pedo activities in Thailand you could inform the police here. If you don't trust the police (why should you?) you could contact the Pavena Foundation. They have a good record of making sure the police do their job properly. http://www.immf-thailand.org/articles/pavena_foundation.html

Well, I don't know what to say.

But bless you.

In that case may we all be assured that the Thai pedophile mentioned in the below story will be enthusiastically pursued like the others.
