How many hours does it take on the bus? Personally I would go with the train. The roads from BKK North for the first couple of hours are not brilliant. Most importantly there's not a lot to see of any great interest until you get to around Sukhothai. At least on the train you can wander around a bit and meet a greater range of people. Better yet, take NOK air or similar, 1,400 baht and one hour of travel - a bit more money but a lot less time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
