Avoid the haunted "Crossroads of the Possessed" at all costs

Motorists in the south of Thailand have been warned to avoid a intersection in Naratiwat - the locals are calling it "The Crossroads of the Possessed".

A whole series of accidents and mysterious events have occurred at that section of the Petchkasem Highway.

So much so that 100 locals recently conducted an exorcism to try and get the spirits out, reported Daily News.

Among the eerie goings on at "Si Yaek Phee Sing" are:

- People involved in accidents caused by evil forces yanking drivers' hands

- Ghostly persons seen by the side of the road sitting and clutching their knees - when you turn round again, they are gone

- Whenever a woman is heard to scream, you can be sure there will be another accident.

Now the locals are warning travelers - avoid the crossroads - or you might pay the consequences.

Thaivisa notes that superstitious people are not an unusual phenomenon in Thailand.

Any roadside stalls selling amulets several hundreds of metres before this road intersection?

Uneducated buffoonery. Just ease up on the alcohol abuse and your ghosts will vanish.

With people like these, not having elections seems not to be such a bad idea.

"Whenever a woman is heard to scream, you can be sure there will be another accident".

Especially when the woman was driving...

I think I saw them ghosts all over Th. already - near intersections, of course, but much more then straight behind the wheel !
