Police in Pattaya have announced the arrest of two women who stole cash from the room of a Russian man staying at Wongamat Privacy Residence.

Quick police work led investigators to rooms at a refuse collection center in the city where they found the two women with cash totaling nearly 27,000 baht.

Suthirak "Rak" Toloi, 41, and Sudarat "Orm" Phatjantheuk, 25 admitted taking money from the room of Alexander Mamichev while he was out swimming on Sunday.

From room 2112 they took 200 US dollars, 15,000 roubles and 12,000 baht sometime between 11.30am and 3.30pm.

The assistant commissioner of Chonburi provincial police Nanthachart Suphamongkhon joined with local chief Apichai Krobpetch in announcing the arrests.

Both women were charged with burglary and receiving stolen goods. Suthirak also has an outstanding case of theft against her dating back to January of this year.

Police are also seeking an accomplice named as 31 year old Nathamon "Petch" Yingkhamhaeng from Nong Bualamphu.

A warrant is out for her arrest.

Graphic, but for sheer numbers you can't beat TVF Posters pointing to the pointers.

Good that BiB caught these ladies. All together now--let's hear it for the BiB!

Rooms at a refuse collection center. Hmmm. Need to keep this in mind next time a "cheap rent' thread comes up.

Yes the guy is great,   9 out of 10 for that.

But the lady , well only a 4 out of 10 , it's a bit to waving cat'ish.

Great job by the Police! I wish all crimes were solved so quickly.

This one was probably handed to the BiB on a plate.  The news story is a bit thin on detail but for a crime that amounted to barely 800 pounds sterling all the top dogs were out in force.  BS.

I knew there was a lot of overemployment here but even so does it really take three women to steal just 27,000B?

There was actually 30,000 but they worked out that if they stole 30,000 offered the security guy 5,000 and he only wanted 2,000 that meant they got 1000 back each. So they started with 10,000 each, ended up with 9,000 each making 27,000, with the guard getting 2,000, that makes 29,000 and they are still trying to figure out who stole the missing 1,000.
