My sister wants to get married in samui next year. August 08. Sala Samui in Choeng moeng is the hotel of choice to stay at.

I was in Samui a few months ago and went to speak with the guy at Far Away Weddings on the ring road, but not sure they have what we are looking for, not to mention that he couldnt show me the venues because he had never been there and none of his staff knew how to get to the venues either!!

We will only be a party of about 10. She wants a basic, no frills ceremony. No stereotypical wedding on the beach with a load of onlookers in bikinis. Meal after, nice atmosphere etc and not to far from Chewang.

Private hotel/beach wedding would be great.

Alternatively, a ceremony and then go to a local restaurant for a slap up meal.

She would also like to find a company/hotel that will sort out all the legal stuff in BKK and sort out the rest in Samui. I could help her with all that in BKK but someone to do it for us will save a lot of time and effort, especially as they will technically be on honey moon!

Any recommendations will be gratefully received. I will be in Samui for Songkran so I can go and check some places out and get the ball rolling.

Both her & her fiance are uk citizens/residents if that makes a difference to anything???!

thanks in advance :o
