Thailand ranked 4th as Muslim-friendly destination

Thailand has done well in another international travel poll, this time as a favoured destination for Muslim travellers.

According to the result of MasterCard-Halal Trip Muslim Millennial Travel Report, Thailand is the fourth favorite destination among millennial Muslims, with Malaysia crowned as the winner.

 

In addition to winner Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan also ranked above Thailand.

 

The strong ranking reflects Thailand’s efforts to position itself as a Muslim-friendly destination.

 

Below is the list of millennial Muslims’ favorite travel destinations according to the MasterCard-Halal Trip Muslim Millennial Travel Report

The poll was about favorite Muslim destinations, not Muslim friendly destinations. I seriously doubt Japan would be 4 spots over the UAE in terms of being Muslim friendly.

You are seriously joking arn't you after events of the last month,  short on tourists are we, Chinese numbers not at what was expected?.

Quite odd when you add this article to a previous one which warns of ISIS moving into SE Asia.

If you go to the Halaltrip website and look at the report, Thailand doesnt even get a mention.

It would be interesting to know how many of the reported 200,000+ illegal overstayers are Muslims.

Perhaps why they love Thailand so much is because they recognise Thailand is an easy touch for them to come and overstay without getting caught.

Or it could be as simple as Thailand shares a land border with a Muslim country and those bordering Thai provinces are predominantly Muslim as well though this doesn't explain why Japan rates so highly.

Used to get a chuckle years ago when they would wander up to the street vendor I usually ate with , point and say (Very slowly)....What...Is...That...

I note that Australia came in at #5, despite a majority dislike of Muslims and locking them up in New Guinea. Maybe they just enjoy the scenery and only associate with other Muslims while vacationing.

We Had a nice experience in a halal restaurant in Disneyland, a long list of halal food and Mosques in Japan, most in Tokio.

They love Centerlink and the welfare handouts 

As a person who lives in the Arabic world, the top three places always mentioned for holidays are Dubai, Malaysia and Thailand.

Well ISIS is certainly not Christian or Buddhist is it? How many offshoots are there in the religion of Islam? It isn't a religion, it's an intolerant cult based on hate. Sunni and Shi ite can hardly agree and keep killing each other, what chance has the rest of us ' infidels ' got?

 

I have seen plenty of ' Muslims ' in Pattaya with a prostitute on one hand and a bottle of Singha in the other. Total hypocrites!

 

All Muslims are not terrorists but it certainly appears that all terrorists say they are Muslims!

One thing sure, Thailand will be always more welcoming that any Thaivisa Thread linked to muslims

Thailand is supplying a beach burka

Why would "good Muslims" want to visit a country where scantly dressed women are in view, most meals contain pork. Alcohol freely available along with open bars where people can be seen consuming it. Then you have pigs being spit roasted in the street. Girls dancing semi naked in GoGo's as well as massage and other intimate acts available on any street. Seems to me all this temptation and immorality would be considered a hell on earth by most of Mohammed's followers ? Do they come for the temples ? (unlikely as being an apostate could get them killed )

Maybe it's the sunshine ?  - No, they are mostly hypocrites here for the booze and women and the odd surgical procedure. 

Not welcome anywhere, but still, they come.
