Looking For Orthopedic Shoulder Surgeon In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I just had an MRI and need to get arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder to reattach a torn shoulder tendon to the bone. As a result, I need to choose a good orthopedic surgeon in Bangkok to do the surgery.

At both Bumrungrad and Bangkok hospitals there are many orthopedic surgeons to choose from, but of course no way of knowing one from the other or which ones are good and bad.

Was wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge about orthopedic surgeons in Bangkok who specialize in shoulders?

Thanks.

In Chiang Mai, Dr Chanakorn at Rajavej is an acknowledged expert in the area of arthroscopic surgery, the cost of surgery here would be substantially less than in the places you quote and the outcome equally as good. One thread on this here:

Thank you for your response and thoughts on this. Cost isn't really a concern, but thank you. It is more the quality of the doctor and the convenience of the location of the hospital that I am after. After the surgery I will have my arm in a sling for 5 weeks and it would probably be easier not to have to travel back from Chiang Mai upon release from the hospital 2 days after surgery. I am still hoping to find a good doctor in Bangkok who can do it. Thank you again.
