Why don't you use Google maps. It shows intensity of traffic roughly at real time.

Really?

Is it done with averages of a certain period/amount of time or something?

Yes I am looking for the south side of the circle, I mentioned Patong only as I was assuming that public webcams are available in Patong.

For SP, Waze seems to interesting, but I really don't see why I should grant them access to my Identity, Calendar, Contacts, SMS, Photo/media/files, Camera, microphone, Bluetooth connections, Device ID & call information's. If one does not agree to that no download possible.

You can probably agree then go to your app manager and turn off permissions(android, I have no idea re Iphone) after its DL'd...maybe?

PS: Just DL'd it on a samsung, I have permission for device location set to active and all other permissions denied, the apps working well and i can see traffic jams ect...think i'll keep this one!

Apparently it uses the GPS in users phones. It measures two positions and the time stamp to determine speed, and thus, what colour line to use.

So, it is virtually real time.

Waze is actually owned by google, so chances are if you use google for anything at all, they have your info  chercheur888

In that case I guess I have to surrender as the phone has Android. Can not hide anywhere anymore.

It might be best to take your motorbike, if you do not necessarily need to use the car. Might be an option, because there are definitely to many cars on the roads in Phuket anyway!!
