Nakhon Si Thammarat people worrying about wastewater from garbage dump

People living around a garbage dump of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality is worrying wastewater from it will flow into their communities and farmland following heavy rain.

 

Images taken from a high angle by Thai PBS news team on Friday (Dec 1) show that the garbage dump has been flooded with rainwater.

 

The residents are afraid that if the water is not properly drained out from the site, wastewater would overflow an earth dyke and then flow into public waterways, their communities and land for agriculture.
