Anyone had surgery at Pattaya City Hospital?

Featured Replies

Need a gallbladder operation and cost is 220,000 (all included) at Bkk/Pattaya hospital, but only 80,000 at Pattaya city, not including room, but wondered if anyone has had surgery there?

Went there for treatment after a motobikes accident, wouldn't even look at me until I paid 10,000 up front which I didn't have in my pocket but I had insurance!! But the level of treatment was woeful to say the least and hardly any English spoken, I would be very wary, I would not go back there, seems to be for Thai only.

So far, so good. Treatment at Bkk/Pattaya was first class, the surgeon the best in keyhole surgery. Had 3 days recovery in hospital, been home nearly a week with no side effects, touch wood. Now have to restrict diet to omit fatty foods, not that I had a lot before, but some foods are now off the menu.

I was in so much pain before the op I just didn't have the inclination to sit and wait all day to see a doctor at Queen Siraket. Apparently my gallbladder was so badly infected that another couple of days wait could have proved fatal.

What foods are off your diet?

Anything greasy like animal fats, fried foods, chocolate, chips etc. Pretty much using common sense, but if it doesn't disagree with you then I guess it's OK to eat. Everything in moderation.
