Featured Replies

I will be working as a volunteer english teacher in thailand for 1 1/2 months. I will NOT be getting any pay for this. Do i need a work visa for this or should i just turn up and work for the month and a half then leave and keep travelling???? Iam an australian.

You need to have a work permit to do any type of work in Thailand, whether paid or not. Thats the law. I have volunteered to teach English to local schoolchildren through Pattaya City Expats Club, and they are arranging for us to get special dispensation from the labour department, so we can do it legally.

The chances are that you won't have a problem, but you need to be aware of the law, and you would be breaking it.
